Had a nice trip to Majestic Elegance, it was our 2nd time to a Majestic after Cancun. Pros: Our butler Santiago was awesome Beach was absolutely beautiful and clean (but windy!) Room location was great, 2143 near pool and beach and Club Super Bowl on huge screen at the theater was great Casino is small but fun with low table limits Bartenders all around are generally great and friendly (be sure and tip them once in a while) Get the Club package, butler, access to the clubs is awesome for extra towels, snacks, self serve booze and soft drinks almost around the clock. Get up early and see the sun rise Lots of pool area to hang at for both people who want party atmosphere or peace and quiet Spa was great Cons: Food was a mixed bag, Japanese was great, steakhouse was good but service was not great, same for breakfast at Italian and general food service at most restaurants Heard about a great buffet they have done for super bowl in the past, but it was only chips and salsa, popcorn and pre-made and wrapped burgers and hot dogs, disappointing Expect to wait forever for room service and for it to not be worth it. They said 45 minutes and it was 2 hours after they we canceled it after the first hour and were already sleeping and it was barely edible when it did come. Could not connect laptop to TV, no pay per view movie options, streaming services won't work here. Download anything you want to watch in your room before you go. Tips: Bring a tumbler so you can get bigger drinks and they stay cold and frozen longer Bring clips to clip your towels to the chairs and beds so they don't blow away Make your reservations for the restaurants that need when you get there. Superb trip to the Majestic Elegance with the family. It's a reasonably sized hotel, with a bit of a walk when we had to go to the lobby considering our room was closer to the beach.
The rooms were large, although a little dated, and functional. My daughter had a small, relatively comfortable extra bed. Good water flow in the shower, efficient and adjustable air conditioning, in addition to the daily cleaning done impeccably, as well as the filling of the small fridge. The soundproofing was average though, so for those who are more fragile sleepers, you might be woken up late evening or early in the morning.
We eat decently in the different restaurants and at the two buffets, which offer a fairly wide and satisfying choice. Our favorites were the Asian (9 doors, with teppanyaki tables - reservations required) and the beach restaurant (See and Sea) for its warm and attentive service, as well as the proximity to the sea. The lasagna is good at the Italian restaurant. One evening we had reservations at Gourmet, the French restaurant, and we were asked to return and put on closed shoes (for men). We were all dressed quite smartly, the men had short-sleeved shirts, long pants and leather sandals. I'm the first to find that shorts and flip flops for an a la carte restaurant are hardly appropriate, but here, for people on vacation, whose room is far away, it was frankly exaggerated! This is probably why we saw several cancellations on their reservation sheet for the evening. Anyway, we went to eat elsewhere.
The beach is beautiful (with a little solicitation from the beach vendors, of course) and clean. It is possible to walk a good distance on one side or the other. Little service on the beach if you have not taken the Elegance Club package. Loud music at times, but very pleasant overall. The swimming pool was also nice, not too cold and clean. The chairs at the pool were, for me, less comfortable than at the beach. It is possible to be in the shade for several hours a day at the beach or at the swimming pool, even if the chairs are sometimes moved. Regarding the availability of chairs, you must reserve them at the latest around 7-7:30 a.m. in the morning to have the desired place.
In short, a score of 9/10 for me, with small hiccups, but above all my favorites, among other things for the attentive service everywhere, the cleanliness of the site, the beach restaurant (thanks Janett and the others!), the diversity in the buffets, the varied entertainment and the cocktails. A special mention to Jacques, at reception, who was very attentive to us. For Quebecers, you can refer to Jacques-le-Tremblay, he will be able to help you in French. Do not recommend this resort and will not be returning. What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway turned into a deeply disappointing experience. While the resort itself looked promising and my partner had visited years ago and loved it, the reality did not match our expectations in the slightest.
First, the cleanliness of our rooms is 0/10. When we arrived, we immediately found dirty marks on our pillows and sheets. We put the dirty pillows on the ground and slept since we were exhausted and let front desk know the next morning and asked for a change of linens. When we arrived that evening, our room had clearly been serviced but to our horror, the pillow cases we told them about was back on our bed!! Meaning the house cleaning not only just made the bed with the linens from the night before, they also took the pillows that had been on the ground and just put them back on our bed and made it to "look clean". Absolutely disgusting!! We complained and the solution we were given was to either switch rooms to one with a worse view or to have specialty house cleaning going forward. We opted for the second, but the next day our "fresh towels" had a massive hole in it and yellow marks. I again complained, and was told fresh towels would be sent to replace it. These "fresh towels" that were replacements, had brown marks on them. Overall, if you want to have clean linens or beds - STAY AWAY. We spent the rest of our trip never knowing if our room was truly cleaned and questioning the sanitization of everything at the resort.
Second, the food was so so. Maybe 3 star quality. The beach buffet for breakfast and lunch looked like it was just the scraps from the Flavors Buffet (this opened earlier than the beach buffet did), the options were limited and the food was cold. After seeing this the first two days, we decided to only have breakfast and lunch at the indoor buffet to be able to get any fresh fruit or quality food. The dinners we enjoyed and food quality was fine. We particularly liked the steakhouse, little gourmand and the sea and see.
For us the only good thing was the location and the outdoor staff. Beautiful beach, well kept and cleaned. Vendors will come to ask you if you want to purchase, but we expected this and no one gave us a hard time when we said no. The staff that worked on the day entertainment or bars were very friendly, were always engaging and seemed to genuinely want us to have a great experience. The night shows were subpar and not engaging, I often found myself leaving early or happy to skip it and go back to our room instead.
Overall, this was supposed to be a special trip for us, but the sheer lack of room cleanliness, and breakfast and lunch options, completely ruined the experience. We will NEVER be returning to Majestic Elegance, and we’ve made sure to warn all of our friends and family to steer clear. For the price we paid, we expected much, much better.

Just got back from a lovely stay at Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana. It is one of three side-by-side resorts owned by Majestic in the location. It is one of the larger resorts we have stayed at but it never seemed even remotely crowded. It is really well laid out - from the palatial entry way through to the beach. Covered walkways between the buildings are really useful if it rains. The site is well planted with mature palms and bushes. The buffets have lots to choose from with "good" to "very good" offerings. The a-la-carte restaurants are very good as well with the Japanese themed being our favourite. The beach is wide and there are lots of lounge chairs, beds and shade opportunities. We love the very long walks possible on Punta Cana beach from this location - in either direction. The staff are very polite and welcoming - you are always greeted with a smile and "hola". Our awesome butler, Peter, was very welcoming, engaging, always helpful and readily available to answer questions, help with reservations and anything else to make our stay more enjoyable. A thing to note is that there are not many options for ocean view rooms - most have pool or courtyard views so if this matters to you, book as early as you can. I can't speak to the entertainment options but the resort does have a large auditorium/stage area and there was something offered every evening. Overall, if you are looking for a quiet, luxurious vacation where you are well looked after - this resort may be the one for you.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana has been an amazing experience! The moment we arrived we were greeted with smiles and very helpful employees who guided us to our room, and they made the trip even more enjoyable. I cannot say enough how cheerful and fun all of the staff is here! Our room was cleaned and stocked with beverages/snacks daily, it had a beautiful patio with sunbeds right on a pool with a short wade over to a swim up bar with delicious drinks (shout out to Ismael, Ronny, Wilian, Ricardo and Jesús, they were entertaining and made the pool experience fantastic) and it was within a three minute walk to a stunning ocean view fully supplied with its own bar and chairs. The food here has a lot of variety and it all has been great! There are many restaurants on the premises, but make sure to bring at least one pair of long pants and nicer shoes if you want to try them all, some of them have a more formal dress code. The only negative thing I can say is that there are a lot of vendors that approach you on the beach (the beach is open to the public) that try to get you to purchase things with enough frequency to be annoying, however that is no fault of the resort as these vendors are not affiliated with them. The resort also has enough pools and pool space that you can enjoy plenty of sun and water without ever having to go to the beach if you don't want to. There are activities all throughout the day, every day, and the night life is just as lively. There is live music and different events evety night. The resort does have trusted on-site vendors to set up any excursions you may want to go on, my wife and I went on an excursion to Saona Island which was an amazing experience. Overall this was a perfect place for my wife and I to be on our honeymoon, and we'd do it again in a heartbeat. I'd like to give a final shout out to our butler Juan! He was a rock star throughout our stay and made us feel right at home, and he made sure we had everything we needed.

I had taken a suite with swim up in the adult section (elegance club). We loved the place!
The room was very large separated into 3 very large rooms. (a bit old but super clean and well organized) Fridge filled every day with water, liquor and beer. A very large living room with TV, a very large room with shower and toilet and a bedroom with very large bed and whirlpool. We had our own outdoor courtyard with double bed, chairs, spa couch and pool of course.
The keys are our bracelet, wonderful!
We ate very well both at the buffet and à la carte restaurants (our favorite was the Gourmet) The site is very large so someone who has difficulty walking it may not be ideal. The lobby is grand and majestic. Of course there is a discotheque, a casino, several shops, a sports bar with a lunch service (after 6pm) (fried chicken/cheese stick....) it was very popular. A relaxing spa. Even an escape game The children's corner is sublime! Clearly a little one who goes there will trip his life is really beautiful and big!!!! (water slides, pirate castles, animation, popcorn, a maze...etc)
Pension is very clean, there is always someone who rubs quek leaves!
For those who love animals, there are cats that stand in the corridors that lead to the rooms, people feed them and they are vrm cute and nice 🐱
The beach is superb, without rock and bcp chairs and bed... never lacked, or even in pm.
Entertainment at the main pool in late pm with games and music. Around 6pm the bar near the buffet opens and always lively there too. Very large performance hall that are good.
If I had a single tiny little dot that I would change; the day the guests arrived, I would put the first beach towels directly into the rooms, it would save people from searching for where to pick them up.

Just returned from the majestic elegance room 3117 in Punta Cana celebrating my birthday with friends. From start to finish everything was amazing . Our butler JC was wonderful making sure all our needs were taken care of. He sought us out each day taking care of our requests and making reservations at the French and Asian restaurant, which the food was outstanding. Our pool girl Salone made sure our drinks were flowing and had a very good memory of what our party of 8 were drinking. Our expert coffee maker Elisa brewed a magnificent espresso and decorated to top either with hearts or rain clouds. Our room was well maintained by our chamber maid Rosa who kept our room clean and tidy with plenty of towels and wash cloths and daily hygiene products . The beach was free from seaweed snd seashells and the water was tourquise blue. For my birthday we returned to find a happy birthday banner on our door with the room decorated with balloons, real rose petals and chilled champagne and a jacuzzi filled with bubbles and flower petals .Kudos to all the staff, everyone had a smile on their face snd went out of the way to help. One thing I love about this resort is that the staff remains the same year after year. Whenever I visit Majestic Elegance, I always make sure to be part of the Members-Only Elegance Club. It’s an adults-only section, and most of the guests in this club are repeat customers who have been coming for many years—that’s how incredible the experience is.
The pool concierge team, including Joel-Samuel, Henri, and Frantzceau, is always just a few feet away, ready to assist with anything you need. They are so exceptional at their jobs that I often wonder why some of them haven’t been promoted to butlers yet, as they go above and beyond their duties. Each room is assigned a personal butler, but these guys take service to another level, ensuring you have the most amazing vacation. They handle any issues, book restaurant reservations, answer questions, and fulfill any requests you have. Plus, there’s an app that allows you to text them anytime.
This year, my butlers were Gabriel and Ericson, and they were excellent! Every day, they checked in on me to make sure I was comfortable and see if there was anything they could do to enhance my stay.
I also have to mention the cleaning staff—they are professional, discreet, and keep everything absolutely perfect. My room was always spotless, with fresh towels and little thoughtful touches that made my stay even more special.

We spent a dream week in this resort! We are already planning our reservation for next year! Our room: We had a jr swimup suite (#2115), located in the main pool, right next to the small deck. Very nice room, clean, superb view and installation of a small bed for our son. The location was just perfect...quiet, not too much music, no partygoers, near the bar, sun and shade. A few steps from the beach on one side and restaurants on the other. Perfect! -Food: No matter the place, we were never afraid to be sick with the food and everything was delicious. They put disinfectant in the hands of every customer before entering! All the restaurants were very good, nice variety, nice atmosphere very different from place to place. Favorite for the See&Sea at lunch with the view! Meals in the buffets are the same from time to time, but there are enough choices to vary. Never disappointed! -The site: Hard to do better! The architecture, gardens, fountains, maintenance, flowers, common areas, swimming pools, bars... It's clean, lush, the general atmosphere is excellent if you want to relax. There were a lot of people, but we didn't feel it at all. The Kids Club is great with three small pools, slides and kid treats! Really nice also to be able to walk from one site to another (to the Colonial and Mirage). -The beach: Superb with several palapas, but you must arrive before 7am-7.30am to reserve a place in the shade. Beautiful sand, no sargasse! Staff: EVERYONE is smiling and attentive. They're great with kids. We feel proud of their country and happy to teach us a few words of Spanish! We could name them all, but a special thank you to Manuel (front desk), Layder and Fenny (main pool bar), Juan (landscaping) and Stephanie (See&Sea). - Others: they are sensitive to allergies, such as gluten and others (mention it at the reception and you will be entitled to a special service in restaurants). We also saw some people with reduced mobility (wheelchair) and it seemed quite accessible. In short, we did not want to leave!! We recommend this place without hesitation. MERCI
