My fiancé and I stayed at Phulay Bay during March 12 - 18. We chose this time so it would not be during rainy season. Weather was perfect and sunny every day! From the moment we arrived until the moment we had to leave was perfect. Our personal butler, Habib, ensured our trip was the most memorable yet with his 24/7 service. He is very attentive to detail and truly cares about people. We came back to our suite from dinner to warm bubble baths waiting multiple times, it was so thoughtful. This reserve is truly a premium experience with very well manicured spaces to relax. It is not exactly a beach destination, although there's small areas you can safely get into swim at sea. The luxury cabanas by the infinity pool (and best part was you dont pay extra fee or fight to get there first to reserve, plenty available) overlooking the water and mountains is where we spent the majority of our week. The service is like nothing I've witnessed before (from other Ritz & Marriot properties), they happily greet you with cool towels anywhere you go, fresh ice water and fruits too. My favorite cocktail was the Siam Sea and any mojitos made to order with the local fresh herbs.. nothing like it exists in the US. All of the food is incredible and fresh, although we didn't try any "western" style food as the local flare was too good to pass up. Room service was also quick and just as good as restaurant too if you want to sit on the huge balcony with a view. We were provided regular cleaning and turndown service daily which was nice to come back to as well. The designs of the rooms were so beautiful and unique showing of thai art culture. We had a bathtub the size of a hot tub... you could have fit 5-6 people in it... so fun and enjoyable, especially in evening with glass of champagne and burning local incense with the thai bath salts. The spa is one of the best I've been to because of the fair prices for how luxurious the amenities are and how well the massage therapist performed. They are very relaxed about you using the spa anytime you want as well regardless of paying for treatment which gave me such a great start to every day... gym, sauna, shower... perfect. The relaxation area and jacuzzi were very unique jungle vibes. My most favorite part of the entire experience was the breakfast served daily. It was the best spread of fresh cooked food choices I've ever experienced at a resort. The chef was so nice too! The pastries, the fresh noodles, and made to order menu was so incredible and high value for the price to stay there. The staff were so welcoming and encouraged you to enjoy the food for buffet. Chocolate croissants and mimosas were the theme of my week! Activities we enjoyed: Sunset bar - the best sunset and vibes to end your day with a beach like feel. They serve fun local free snacks too... my favorite was thai spice handmade popcorn made over open flame. Hike - you are able to go with a guide to hike nearby mountain for a sunrise view.. it is so worth it. Admittedly we were a little jetlagged still so the 4-8am hike wasn't too early to wake up for but i'd do it again now having seen the views. We even saw a few monkeys on our trip up! It's a great workout, a little challenging incline the first 45 min the fine rest of way. It felt like a true achievement after we reached the top. Habib even got a picture secretly framed for us with sunrise in background I'll cherish forever. Visit to Bang Thong Temple & Nature Trail - I was so impressed with this tour the resort takes you on. This temple is fairly new and about an hour drive away but so worth it. The shuttle is also so nice and I enjoyed people watching driving through the towns to see local flare. The temple is insanely beautiful. We saw a few monks living there too which was a great learning experience. Getting pictures of the architecture is memorable. I got a thai tea at local coffee shop there that was so fresh and good too! Visit to Ao Nang - Habib set up a taxi for us to go into town to see local shops and food. This was such a cool evening experience to get off resort for a bit and try local Thai food. Fun bars and shopping on the water with a great sunset view too. We walked around for a few hours and enjoyed it! Can just call a cab yourself back to resort no problem, about 25 min drive away. …
We have traveled a lot in Thailand and the rest of Southeast Asia staying in five star hotels including Four Seasons, Alilla and Six Senses. Phulay Bay is among the very best of them all, and maybe even the best one. The service was outstanding from start to finish. The complimentary activities were excellent and plentiful. We did the trip to Hong Island, the bike trip and the cocktail classes. They were all good. We had an ocean pavilion which was very nice and spacious. Everything was in mint condition. Out Butler Mon was a star and always on hand to help us when needed. We hope we one day will get back to this beautiful resort
Phulay Bay was wonderful from start to finish. When you do your research into a hotel, arrive, and hope it’s as lovely as you were expecting…..well Phulay Bay was breathtaking. The entrance and the rest of the resort is beautiful and well maintained. Our Reserve Villa 26 was mind blowing with a lovely front garden and swimming pool. There are two enormous baths (one outside in the pretty back garden) and a 4 metre bed! A huge dressing area with lots of cupboards and hanging space. There are 3 amazing restaurants and a fantastic bar on the beach where you can watch memorable sunsets. Lastly, but most importantly a huge thank you to our most wonderful butler Arty, who is adorable and couldn’t of been more helpful in ensuring our time here was perfect by adding gorgeous touches to our heavenly stay. Thank you so much Arty.…
Simply amazing! Truly a 6-star location in Krabi, Thailand, with a premium on relaxation. I stayed 5 nights and wanted to stay much longer. Arty, my butler, was absolutely amazing and helped make the trip a successful one. I highly recommend staying here.
We had such an amazing stay here in Phulay Bay! All the staff was so nice and friendly and we loved our personal butler Habib! He was always sweet, gentle, caring and very helpful. We felt like we were in heaven! Great room with the best bathroom, boat trip to Hong Island, amazing view from the pool, good food, and amazing service from all the staffs with always big smile! Thank you so much for all your hospitality! I will definitely come back to this heaven again!! Big applause to all the staff there 👏
I’d say Phulay Bay is a pricey resort but definitely worth its price. It’s more like a hidden island rather than a hotel, and I simply wanted to stay here forever. One of the top highlights of our stay here is definitely the staff - they made this place like home. Special shoutout goes to our butler, Habib, whose iconic smile literally cheered us up every single day, starting from the moment he was introduced to us when we arrived. There was a day I asked Habib where we could buy durian around Ao Nang and without us asking, he proactively told our driver to stop us by a supermarket to buy durian first before heading to the beach. So many small gestures like this made our trip a wonderful one. No matter I was in the hotel or not, whenever I bugged him he was always super responsive and incredibly nice. Having Habib during our trip was like having a local friend in Krabi, and we never had to worry about anything. Hope the hotel can recognize what a gem he is! We also participated in a lot of enjoyable activities at the hotel, from 8am yoga to thai tea and mojito class, Hong Island trip and many more. Among them I wanted to give special thanks to our Thai boxing instructor, Ae. It’s obvious that he put his heart into his course as it was so well-designed and easy to follow. It’s our first ever stay at a Ritz-Carlton Reserve and it was so magical that I already started looking forward to checking out another one.…
First time in Thailand and were debating between Krabi and Phuket. We decided Krabi because we wanted to slow down a bit from traveling for a couple week prior to arriving, plus it's more natural and closer to the Phi Phi islands. Plus, when we reserved a room, the concierge team reached out to us and proposed tours and ideas for our stay. We booked private trips to Phangna Bay and the next day to Phi Phi Islands. The views from the hotel are beautiful, the sunsets are stunning, the pool is perfect temperature. The drinks at the pool bar and the sunset bar are fabulous. Our butler, Rungnapa was phenomenal. She was there for our check-in to our check-out and we could request anything we needed from coffee in the morning to a trip to town through our WhatsApp chat with her. She took care of everything. When we had a spa appointment, she came to get us from the pool and took us to the spa and then back to the pool. She knows what you ordered and asked if you wanted the same thing. She was amazing and we appreciated her attentiveness and anticipating our needs.…
What a wonderful 4 days we had from the moment we arrived we felt so looked after. Our personal assistant was the fabulous Son he made our stay perfect in every way possible! He excelled at his job he was amazing! Thank you we will be back😍
We stayed at the ritz Carlton Phulay Bay for 3 nights. On arrival they great you via a Buddhist temple and gong your arrival and present you with flower bracelets. We went to the pool area as our room wasn’t ready. Our room was beautiful and view to the beach was incredible. The resort is large and you can be transferred around the resort via buggy but we opted to walk whilst here. The pool area is lovely and the pool bar food was the best we had in the resort. My only point here is, there should be an adults only pool area. As during our stay one mother kept telling/ shouting at her children from her sun lounger. Which spoilt the whole ambience of the pool area. Other guests were also shocked by this. Restaurant food is ok but you pay a premium price for average food. The staff are incredibly friendly although Service is slow and they often forget things. Maybe they need to write things down that you order. Sun set bar is beautiful at night and the staff here are very good. Our butler seemed to let us flounder around and the resort wasn’t explained to us. We turned up at the lampoon restaurant one night without a booking - it was empty apart from 2 tables. The waitress was rude said she struggled to fit us in. We explained we would only require the table for an hour. She told us we need to book first. We did eat here and left an hour later, the restaurant was still quiet. This was an expensive hotel at £700 per night. I would have expected better …
First I feel that I should thank you our friends from Thai from Phulay. I didn't know much for the chanal so I created this for Thanks as a review, I hope this will be beneficial. I also got my own hotel in Australia, but I can't understand how every staff got well trained and standard. I came to join as wedding party, I knew that must be busy for all staff esp. Jeans . Jeans our butler she is nice and kind of good at in English her accent and service made me surprised. As me and my friends always ready on time every single time we message her for a buggy she always said she is stand by that also made me questions how she be prepared her self in advance . To talk about the room , all cleaned as they got good communication since we gone till we left in room was clean and nice smell . I didn't like to way from room to the swimming pool much didn't match with older people but Jeans always support us on the way or pick us from room 63 to any places. Overall good for recommend. …
