This resort exceeded our already very high expectations for the last stop in our honeymoon. The hotel staff was very attentive and cared for every detail, always ready to change our towels, answer our questions and needs, and they even offered courtesy rooms for waiting when we arrived too early for check in or left after checkout time. The Superior Room was superb, very comfortable and beautiful, and we enjoyed very much the terrace towards the pool, which was super nice and well maintained. We also found complementary water and soft drinks in our room. The hotel also helped us booking a tour to Hong islands in a luxury longboat with a very friendly driver who offered us water and pineapple along the excursion (3000bat + 300bat/per to be paid in the natural park). The best of the hotel was without a doubt the beach and the stunning sunsets, enjoying the happy hour of the bar and live music by an amazing saxo player. Music extends all dinner long. I was worried by some comments about breakfast but it was very well prepared and varied, offering different and high quality and flavoured Thay specialties every day, together with amazing fresh juices, yogurt and fruits and, great variety of pastries and desserts and as many freshly made drinks (coffees, teas, iced teas...) as you wanted. Personally, we really appreciated the architecture of the resort, quite different to any other typical resort, and how the hotel makes an effort to integrate (in) nature and to reinvent traditional architecture, caring not only about the client but the environment.…
Check In: Smooth check in, no issues. The staff also escorted us to our rooms while explaining the facilities of the resort. Room: We booked the villa from private pool. Nice room. nice TV with Chromecast, great outdoor private pool with large bathtub outside. However the bathroom was not great. The water pressure was very weird. The pressure would be strong for 5 seconds and then suddenly lose pressure for 5 seconds and then become strong again. There was also no hot water 1 night and the shower door did not close well enough which caused water to leak to outside from the bottom. The outdoor bathtub water pressure was also not strong and because the bathtub was so big, it took ages for it to be filled up. F&B: Breakfast was very limited for me. For a 5 star hotel I was expecting a much larger variety of food available. This was also the 1st 5 star hotel in Thailand I stayed in that they did not have Thai noodle soup available at breakfast. However I must say that the food quality was very good. For lunch and dinner, it was pretty good as well. The dinner set that we had included was very tasty. Spa: Spa was great and the masseuse had great technique. Excellent spa experience here. Location: The resort is located at Tubkaak Beach and there really is nothing else nearby the resort. There are 1 or 2 small local restaurants a walking distance to the resort and thats about it. The beach itself was great. And you can also arrange to take a longtail boat to Koh Hong right from the hotel beach. Overall: Overall me and my girlfriend had a pretty good stay here. It was relaxing for sure. If they could fix the bathroom issues and also offered a larger variety during breakfast, I would have given a 5 star review for sure. Would I still recommend this hotel? Yes for sure.…
Beautiful resort on a lovely beach. The style of the resort is authentically Thai and the food served is to a high standard. The day trip to Ko Hong is a great experience and well worth doing. Rooms aren’t massive, so don’t expect much space inside. It’s also worth bringing some eye shades and ear plugs as the rooms let in a fair amount for light and sound at night.
My stay at the Tubkaak Krabi Boutique Resort this past December was splendid!. I would highly recommend staying here during your Krabi holiday. Pros: Fabulous views of the karsts and islands from the beach and beachfront restaurant. Lovely and well decorated, upper floor suite with a generous balcony and outdoor bath and shower. Gorgeous beachside restaurant which served a delicious and reasonably priced menu. Breakfast buffet was vast and tasty. Restaurant provided plastic gloves and hand sanitizer for guests. Restaurant offers unique, beachside dinning for dinner service. Price includes morning yoga. Price includes all non-motorized water sports. Price includes free use of bicycles Relaxed dinner music (singer with guitarist). The front desk can arrange private and reasonably priced boats for you daily. Decent pool. Wonderful staff The property was compact enough without seeming so. There is a lovely library on property. Local convenience store about 10 min away by bicycle. Reasonably priced airport transport offered (shared and private options) The guest populations during my stay was overwhelmingly Thai. Cons: Some of the bicycles needed maintenance. One of mine “broke down” - luckily, not to horribly far away from the hotel. Spa treatments are more expensive than standard for Krabi. My stay was not long enough!!!!!…
This resort is 18 years old and set in the middle of a beautiful sandy beach known as Tub Kaek. The resort itself is lush green with beautiful mature trees throughout. The rooms include a range of basic ‘Superior’ through to ‘pool villas’ and then some premium apartments that are beach front. Our kids stayed in a Superior room and we stayed in a pool villa room and both were lovely. The resort architecture is Thai inspired and lovely. We walked the entire length of the beach and found it to be by far the nicest resort. Staff are super helpful and we had no issues with service at all. Special mention to ‘Boy’ (the Restaurant Manager). Loved his humour and people centric approach. The resort features two restaurants: one Thai and another Italian. this means you can have a variety of good food throughout the stay. They also have a full wine and cocktail list. Breakfast is included and a wide variety of food is available including freshly made bread. The resort has its’ own organic farm so most food is local. We also were lucky enough to participate in a Xmas Eve Seafood BBQ on the beach which was amazing. Day trips to the islands are worthwhile and the spa is one of the better ones we have been to (recommend the oil treatment). We’ll definite return at some stage in the future.…
Beware of this place. Terrible service.:-(((((((((((((((((((((((((((( This was almost the worst thing that has happened to me after covid period. Beware of this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Terrible staff, terrible food. I really don't know what to tell you , staying far away from this hotel.
It was very sad to notice that you did not respond to my earlier email. I am just wondering how a 5-star hotel could have such a customer service. Unfortunately, this booking was a mistake. It is very sad that wait 3 hours for the room, but there are no excuse for the fact that the food is very poor quality and uneatable (especially to a quality hotel like yours) and the wine was rotten.
Love this resort and plan to visit this place. Resort is located on Tubkaak beach which is very nice and clean. Beside nice room and service minded staff, Thai food here is amazing 🤩 So delicious. Very authentic Thai southern menus created by Michelin chef!
Don't take me wrong, The Tubkaak is a fine place with clean and inviting rooms, the usual friendly thai staff and a stunning beach/view on Phang Nga Bay. But several design quirks (a pool with no ocean view, a reception desk on an isolated second floor that guests have to wake up to, a tiny parking lot, locking a room with a padlock (see pic) and I could go on), uneven service (a note here that the staff is not to blame), a weird wine list, very ordinary food, far flung location with few Instagram moments, The Tubkaak certainly does not qualify as "boutique". It lacks design coherence and, well, skilled managment. It's perhaps ok between 3 and 4 stars, but certainly not at that price point.
The hotel is little far from city but great quiet and relaxe, the beach is access from our room and we can eat same place, employee very convenient and friendly. I like the thai menu we can eat a lot specialities from thailand
