Cruised to Cozumel with Carnival Sensation and set up an excursion with Casa De La Playa but 9pm the night before the excursion in the morning Carnival slipped a letter under the door stating this excursion cancelled due to poor attendance. Really, hours before the excursion?? This ruined the night running around trying to find an alternative since everything was... More

During our stay in Siquijor we spend our stance in Casa de la Playa: beatuful decoration, very good breakfast and greats landscapes. The staff was very kind and polite, the rooms were clean and decorated as a typical philippine style. In spite to be very slowly cooking, the breakfast were delicious!

Siquijor is hard to get in and out! Plan your trip accordingly (ferry and all). This hotel was very nice and quiet. I rented 3 rooms (cottages) for 11 pax and 3 kids (3 nights) all nice rooms. The fan room has a second floor, which was very convenient for my brothers family. We arrived during their fiesta so we... More

I had been dying to visit Siquijor ever since I learned my wife and most other filipinos are scared to go here because its known for its witchcraft and healers etc. I have visited a lot of the islands in the Philippines now and stayed in many different types of accomodation from dative nipa huts with mosquito nets to 5*... We just wanted to do a stop over for lunch. After the weitress gave us the menu she returned five minutes later and told us that for incoming guests there are just drinks. So i can absolutly say nothing about the hotel but you shouldn't try to eat in the restaurant if you aren't checked in. It's not possible ;)... More

Recommanded by friends I booked for two nights , but finally i ended up with a 10 days stay. Actually it was not easy to extend but the management was so helpful in switching some arrival to another house, so I could stay in the very favoured house, casa ida , right on the beachfront. You need no more, just... More

It's hard to find places which serve good vegan options. We liked seitan chilli non carne. There is no reception in a large area around bar and hotels, so their wifi can be a life saver. Massage was good. We are happy that we went there.

They don't have a generator so it was really warm at night. Lots of mosquitos so make sure you bring anti mosquito lotion or mosquito repellent sprays. The beach is pretty nice, white sand. But if it's low tide, swimming is nearly impossible coz the water will be too far out. Food was okay.
