The road to the pension is a forest road, very bad, full of boulders, for about 800m. You need an SUV or a tall car. If you have a low guard, as we have at Honda Civic, it is an unfortunate situation. In the yard is the main pension, large, with restaurant and reception on the ground floor and another smaller pension in a corner, where they accommodated us. I don't know if the rooms differ between the two buildings, because we were not given the opportunity to see another room or to choose. Dirty room with spider webs, tufts of lint and hair at the foot of the bed, dirt on the radiator tap and through hidden corners and places of the room and bathroom. The wooden bed is narrow (140cm wide) and creaks from all joints at the slightest movement. With each movement, both the husband and the child woke up because of the squeaks. The shower cabin is extremely small, you can't take a shower without touching the shower doors. The drain in the shower was clogged, water collected up to above the ankles, so I stood with my feet in the dirty water throughout the shower. Broken shower on the outside. There is no support for cosmetics in the bathroom. One small support for the hand towel, otherwise we had to put our towels and cosmetics on the toilet lid, the small radiator or the window sill, which was full of dust and spider webs. The floor in the room is old and scratched, unmaintained, no mirror in the room (except the one in the bathroom), the dresser with a single shelf up, otherwise just the hanger bar. All rustic and very simple furniture items, nothing to reflect the price of 371 lei (~ 77 EUR) / night, which we paid for bed and breakfast. We did not have a hair dryer or free toiletries (except for toilet paper and liquid soap), although the description on Booking says they are all included. We stayed 5 nights / 6 days, during which time there was no cleaning at all, they gave us some clean towels and a roll of toilet paper on the fifth day and left them in the living room, because they claimed they have no other the key to the room other than the one that was ours. Breakfast almost identical every day, with many heavy sausages (probably venison), greaves, a few small tomatoes and a cucumber, very little cheese (never yellow cheese), eggs in 2 of the 5 days, butter, jam, honey and tea . We did not have the opportunity to choose between tea, milk or coffee. The coffee was for a fee, for the 2-year-old they never brought us cutlery, and the napkins were exactly 2, never more. We ate there 3 times at lunch, they always had vegetable soups, we never got soup with meat, in the context in which a soup costs somewhere around 30 lei. Dinner was good, they served especially venison or fish, very tasty cooked. You could choose to serve a menu of 2 or 3 dishes a day, namely soup + main course + dessert (70 lei / person), soup + dessert or main course + dessert (42 lei / person), but you could not choose menu of 2 kinds, namely soup + main course, on the grounds that they didn't have a price for this combination. So, even if you serve soup + main course, without dessert, you pay for a 3-course menu. A plus would be the fact that it is quiet and clean air, the big yard and a lot of grass, although from my point of view they would have enough space to arrange a playground for children, or they could plant some flowers and trees. There are two turrets in the yard, but both were dirty and untidy. In conclusion, I consider that this pension is overrated, the 9.2 rating on Booking being much too high considering the quality-price ratio.

Large rooms, cosy shared areas, very friendly staff. Off the beaten track so probably not a good idea to get there in a low suspension sports car but you should be fine without a 4x4 if there is no snow.

We visited the place together with a large group of friends. All rooms were very large with beautiful all wood interiors, as the rest of the villa. The backyard rooms have an incredible view over the valley. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of things to do, but you really need to visit the large forest in which you can see a lot of wild animals. The food offering is not verry large, but all dishes were excellent! I recommend trying the villa and you’ll not be dissapointed!

The vila is situated in a remote spot, in the middle of a wonderful natural place, from where you can see the surrounding hills and still be connected to the village. The whole concept is that of a hunting lodge. The staff is very helpful, welcoming and willing to accommodate. The management also owns Ivo Natural Park and they organize thematic walks of two hours, but they were so nice to take us on a personalized trail for just one hour, as we were with a toddler. It ended up taking almost two hours, as well. The room was very spacious and well furbished. Breakfast was simple, but exquisite - game centred produce, tea, honey and home made confiture. We also had dinner, which was a treat every time. The bed was a bit squishy and there were no toiletries available. An improvement opportunity would be a greater wine selection.

We have been a group of 5 families, easy going, well traveled and not demanding, looking for a quiet retreat in the nature for a weekend. The cottage was beautiful as well as the surroundings. Unfortunately, the rooms badly insulated and all with squeaking bed frames that affected our sleep. The back garden had a wonderful view, but the grass was not mowed, the chairs and tables quite dirty or dusty. The dining experience was disappointing. The venison and hunting specialities were available and tasty. But the offer was limited, no different vegetables to accompany the main dishes, served in very small sizes. The forest fruit cake was almost lacking the forest fruits, in spite of its name. The breakfast was poor, only game sausages, one type of farmer's cheese and blueberry jam, but no eggs in whatever form, no cornflakes, no milk, no yogurt, just tepid mint tea, coffee only with extra payment. Regarding the activities, we asked for horse riding, but we have been told that was not possible and to inquire at a later date. Absolutely no other activities were offered or advised in the area. It is a place with great potential, but not welcoming. And pricey.
