what a dump. cannot find one thing that is pleasurable. beach is non existent after hurricane washed it away. rooms smelly and damp, food dreadful (mostly slops), lived on bread and cheese for ten days - couldn't ever find a table in dining hall and if we did we had to clear it ourselves, recycled water - it's a wonder...

I have been to this resort twice. Once in June 2009 and this trip. I have friends that have been there 5 or 6 times and have no intention of stopping. I feel the same way. THis resort is really great for the price you pay. I cannot stress the value added you get for your your dollar. Location- By...

This is my 3rd time and it was great. All those bad reviews I read were hard to believe. Once I got there I told myself some people are just hard to please. This is a 3 star resort and as such is excellent for relaxing and a great time on the town. The resort was fine. I didn't see...

I went with my friend who is disabled and found the workers to be very helpful and supportive. The bar staff and waiters always seemed cheerful. (thank you to Rocio, Francisco, Miguel and Fernando for their help and assistance) They are well trained in customer service and work extremely hard for small wages. The downside is that the rooms could...

Great value in a terrific location, close to the airport, where from the hotel terrace you can watch the jets coming and going while your drinking your beverage of choice and watching/listening as the ocean breaks upon the adjacent reef. Sosua was just outside your door, the beds were comfortable, the food was hot and very good and the evening entertainment was generally excellent....

I just returned today from a 1 week stay at the Casa Marina Beach Hotel and I have to say that this hotel definitely isn't as bad as many of the reviews will lead you to believe. For what we paid (under $400 Canadian each) I think it was a great deal, but if you pay much more than that...

So for everything you are reading that is bad these people should get more money and go else where this is a 3 star hotel and I have seen hotels in canada that are way worse. As far as the renovations go they are almost done and it does not effect your stay. The pictures you are seeing these people...

I have no idea about why there are so many negative reviews on this place. The resort itself is very beautiful, views are stunning, public areas are well maintained, bars serve good drinks (for an all inclusive), buffet restaurant was good with some very good meals, and location can't be beat. Having said all that, even with the renovated rooms,...
