Sosua Ocean Village is a prestigious oceanfront residential community on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, where you can rent and purchase different types of real estate and enjoy resort-like amenities. Located on over 160 acres of exquisite land, the development offers condos, villas, studios and land lots for construction. Enjoy unique sports and entertainment amenities for both adults and children, such as 3 restaurants, waterpark, pools, gym, tennis courts, volleyball and basketball court, spa, fishing lagoon, brewery and a huge kids' entertainment center Laguna SOV. We realize how important it is not only to enjoy the blessings of the generous Dominican nature, but also to take care of it. Opting for green solar energy we manage to keep the air in the community clean, while having less cars and motorcycles inside it makes Sosua Ocean Village calmer and safer. We have solar street lights and solar vehicles for all the community needs, we also try to keep as many trees as possible during the construction. Recently we have introduced kilometers of picturesque walkways all over the community.

Clean, friendly, safe This villa seemed almost too good to be true. Everything was as perfect as it seemed online. The hosts are the most thoughtful, attentive, and over all provided us with a great experience. The place was an extremely tidy and lovely AirBnb Villa equipped with everything we needed. A very comfortable bed and nice bathrooms and kitchen. I enjoyed the amazing features of feeling like my home-away-from-home,which includes, laundry machine /dryer, private pool, beach supplies, outdoor furniture, and a three minute walk to amazing restaurants and beaches. We had a great stay, and we'll definitely

A really fun place to be with outdoor trails, exercise park, two water parks, gym, and so much more. The place feels very safe and the grounds are so well maintained. I had two issues that made me take away a star: the shuttle runs sporadically, it does not follow the advertised schedule, not even close, and bottled water, a necessity, was not always available, especially on the weekends.

terrible everywhere there are rules, your dog runs away and you are immediately fined, but it doesn't matter at all that there are cats roaming around, for everything you have fines it's fine immediately You'll get a fine but cats come here I annoy you I jump on your table, it doesn't matter every morning the cats ring a bell around your neck and wake you up early in the morning the same thing with the staff You can't deal with the scooter because it makes noise but nobody minds that the staff here wake you up in the morning and clean around the barracks, terrible. Cameras are watching you everywhere, you have to follow the rules, it's a disaster, I wouldn't want to be here again in my life, For three months, the water park water slides are no longer running. Children want to go there but they can't because it's not running, you are constantly under surveillance. Everyone is checking you. I thought Dominika not about freedom and not about rules and camera surveillance

We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. To clarify, you had reserved apartment 61 last year, but due to a family member of the owner living there, we had to inform you that it was unavailable and moved you to apartment 3. Unfortunately, due to a prior booking, we had to relocate you again to apartment 12. The contract for managing apartment 12 was signed just a few days before we needed to move you, which didn't give us enough time to prepare it perfectly. However, all the issues were resolved within two days. We understand your frustration and appreciate your feedback. We will use it to improve our services and ensure better experiences for our guests in the future. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I visited the newer construction villas from March 7, 2018 until March 12, 2018. While vacationing on this supposedly SECURED property, my room was entered with a key and my MONEY and PROPERTY were stolen. I have stayed in Sosua on many occasions where the property was gated and secured and never was I violated as I have been on this property. I called for security the night of the ROBBERY and when they came there was a lack of interest in resolving the matter. The SUPERVISOR of security would not even call the police until I picked up my phone to do so. Once he finally called he then went outside so I could not hear his conversation. The police finally showed up and they did absolutely NOTHING. I called the property manager and requested their assistance with resolving being ROBBED on an secure gated community with 24 hour guards and patrol, however NOTHING has happened to resolve the fact that I was ROBBED. This happened on March 9, 2018 between 11pm and 2:30 AM and I still have not been given any answers. The SUPERVISOR of the security on duty the night I was ROBBED said that I could review the surveillance cameras the following morning at 8 am. Needless to say I NEVER saw the SUPERVISOR again and I was there for three more days after the ROBBERY. What does that tell you? HE WAS INVOLVED OR KNEW WHO WAS. Management has done NOTHING but pass the buck since this has happened. I have sent countless emails only to get sent to another person and another person without justice for what clearly was an inside job. There was no forced entry and the door was left opened because the of the speedy exit once the guards at the gate alerted them that we were back on the property. We were stalled at the gate upon reentry only that night IRONICALLY. Chantalle was my point of contact and she I feel did everything she could with making all parties aware of the situation. Chantalle also released my security deposit so that I did not have to stay there without any money for three days. Thank you Chantalle. Peggy confessed that she confirmed that the SUPERVISOR of security LIED about the manager allegedly telling him that she witnessed us leaving women in the villa when we left. Peggy told me on Monday March 12, 2018 that once she left me at the villa she was going to review the surveillance footage. I have yet to hear anything from Peggy on what she witnessed. Today is March 19, 2018 a week later. Peggy told me that Francisco would assist with helping resolve things. I have documented emails that show the LACK OF URGENCY, THE LACK OF CARING THAT I HAVE BOOKED WITH THIS COMPANY FOR 5 YEARS IN A ROW, THE I DON'T GIVE A _ ATTITUDE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED WHILE STAYING ON A SECURED, GATED, GUARDS AND PATROL COMMUNITY. Francisco the said MANAGER didn't even have the DECENCY to come to the villa to talk to me face to face. He via EMAIL sent ALL RESPONSIBLITY to Maria whom is so far removed from what the hell is going on that she INVITED ME TO COME SIT WITH HER IN HER OFFICE. Maria had NO CLUE THAT I WAS BACK HOME IN THE STATES. I say all this to say I pray and thank GOD that nobody was in the villa when we were ROBBED and nobody got hurt. I hope that this review is read by all parties that THINK because the pictures are all clean and family oriented that this gated/ secured facility is NOT where to stay or bring your family. I have reached out to my network that I send to the island and made sure that they all know not to patronize this management group and definitely not this property or its owners. I urge you ALL to heed this review for it is not made up. I have taken more of my time to right it in detail in hopes to protect others from being violated to the tune of 1,600 in cash, Jordan sneakers, and a cell phone. I had a very good relationship going with Peggy and Chantalle until staying at this property. I regret to say that because NO ACTION was taken I will have to stop all business and move on to finding another host company while staying in Sosua. From the lack of resolution to my being ROBBED I don't think that it even matters. PLEASE READ THIS AND BE VERY CAUTIOUS OF THIS PROPERTY. You may not be so lucky to not be in the villa the next time they decide to VIOLATE AND ROB it again. We were in VILLA #2 right in front of a 24 hour building where the lady watched us all day and had clear eye view of what happened on the night I was ROBBED

Dear Sir, While we regret your unpleasant experience, we see ourselves obliged to totally disagree with your review aimed to discredit our community. The matter was seen to immediately after the incident was reported by you, both by the security of Sosua Ocean Village and by the National Police that were called in by our security in spite of your reluctance to do that. The detail that you failed to include in your publication is that there were 4 ladies of easy virtue accompanying you during that part of your stay, one of which had stayed alone in the villa that you rented while you were out. This fact together with no evidence of forced entry led the National Police to discard further investigation which in any way would not be possible without you placing a complaint at the police station which you didn't. It would be also important to add that this property that you stayed in is a private villa administered and rented to you by a third party, and as administration of the community we would not be aware if you were provided with the facility of a safety deposit box in side the villa that you rented. Like we said above, we truly regret your experience but we deem it necessary to respond with the facts. With regards, Administration of Sosua Ocean Village

Don't believe them! All staff and management lie at every step. Aquapark never works but they could take your money for nonworking service. They don't know what is a client service they don't love clients. Never go there!!!

A trip to the Dominican Republic is magical... However.. the hotel also is home to the holiday club and the reps target you based on your 'sun tan' state, what I mean by that is how early you are on arrival... we landed in Porta Plata and transferred without a hitch, we checked in, again no problem and the rooms were as expected the resort is awesome with infinity pools and private beach, all inclusive is exactly that but... there is a another holiday package broker on the resort that invites you to join them for an hour or so or a BBQ or whatever the theme is for that week and they pressure sell you time share... I was lucky because I am not new to this treatment, I got my free tee shirt and complimentary drink but had to swat off the ever increasing pressure to sign a loan agreement for £10000+ for points to use anywhere in the world...
The resort is AWESOME, the staff are brilliant and the beach / view the same...market days (every other) bring in local shops that pester you and try to pressure you into buying things and make it a little awkward to ignore them... but with practice you can learn the 1000 yard stare that gets you off the hook.
Book with piece of mind but be aware that you will be bothered by these mosquito like agents trying to depart you with money that you may not have...

Visited Sosua Ocean Villas this weekend for a wedding. The venue is beautiful with an amazing ocean view and precious infinity pool as well as many waterslides that were incredible. The problem was with our room and poor service. The room looked dirty and had a musty odor. There were insufficient towels and the ones we had available were dirty and torn. No shampoo or condioner available, there was only a small facial soap bar available per day that you had to divide for all people in the room to take a bath and wash hands. We were 4 in the room and when we asked for a second key they told us that it was unavailable. No breakfast until 10am. No front desk until 9am. No room service. The phone in the room did not have tone. The air conditioner control did not have batteries. In short... It was a mess...
