Pics are not current. May have been a nice place when first built, but is run down now & they do not do up keep on it. Pools in rooms are nasty & dirty, not filtered like a normal pool, so scum & muck in water. Very dark inside, not brightly lit up like in photos. Just horrible.

When I booked the trip, I had no idea how terrible this place was. The sheets were dirty, along with the whole room. There was a pool in the room, which was also dirty. Also the place is dated, and very run down. I would advise anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Sosua to pass this place up, you can think me later!

The Ahnvee is a beautiful hotel. I liked the fact that it is right on Pedro Ciclante (which appears to be the major thoroughfare in Sosuá) but not in the center of town. It is located right across the street from a great restaurant with a friendly staff and a five minute walk from a seemingly new supermarket. The manager Luis was very friendly and attentive and so were his front desk agents Caroline & another lady whose name I can’t recall right now. The penthouse apartment that I stayed in was scrupulously clean and spacious and the WiFi was excellent. My neighbors were more than friendly and willing to bend over backwards for me as most of them seemed to come from, “Santo Domingo papí...” One front desk agent even hooked me up with a driver who took me to the banco to get pesos and a clinic to get a COVID test so that I could come back to the US. It is definitely designed for a single guy such as myself and it is the only place where I would like to stay in Sosuá.

This is not a resort but a brothel house. You have to be a single guy or even a married guy with a wondering eye to overlook the nasty dirty rooms. Sheets are dirty. There are no doors not even to the toilet. Pool in room is freezing. Towels look like they are soiled. Note to owners-you have to replace discolored white sheets and towels occasionally. Hot water, if you are lucky to get it, takes a long time. The bed and pillows are uncomfortable. The place needs a renovation! It has the feeling of an old motel that hasn’t been updated since the 60s. Not a vacation for friends, family, couples, or business. It is not near the beach. The beach is a drive from the motel. It is not near other restaurants or businesses. To their credit, they provide a shuttle bus on demand. The hotel and the location suck. The only way this place gets above a 1 star, is because the guys are blinded by all the prostitutes who roam this place. This is by far the worst hotel/motel I’ve ever stayed.

We checking on 11 Feb 2020, room 404. Starting with the bathroom was dirty, mold in the shower, the towels looks a hot mess, no white they look like light gray, very old towels; the pillows on the bed were dirty with make up from who knows when. I just need a place to sleep but this place wasn’t all of that not even for sleeping, the mini refrigerator also had mold 🤦🏽‍♀️. The whole design is a mess is not privacy between the bathroom living area and bedroom, Don’t even wasted your time on this hotel, choose a different one.

Booked 4 days, stayed 1. I seldomly write a bad review, but in this case I will make an exception. I arrived and was informed that Hydo was not working and that there would be no power during certain hours. Ok. I can live with that. I was taken to my room, floors were filth, towels were stained, TV did not work, Shower Head broken only spit out water, Vanity was broken. There is nothing LUXURY about this place. Pool has not been cleaned, and garabage all over the property. Room included b-fast and guess what? No breakfast was found. EXPEDIA should remove this hotel off its site. Do not stay here.

Pros: Very comfortable and uniquely designed rooms Great location, not too far away from the main strip but not in the middle of it where it is noisy. Hotel taxi was readily available, Staff was great Weekend parties are held on premises in the pool area in the back of the hotel. Lots & lots of chicas! Cons: Water, hot water, electricity, TV, and Wifi was not available 100 percent of the time. No complementary bottles of drinking water but a Mini Mart was nearby. One staff member frowned at me when I asked for daily room service. Overall: I was very pleased, an excellent value. This is a great choice for a single man in Sosua.
