food: there is everything, seafood every day, vegetables, desserts, fruits (bananas, melon, papaya, pineapple, rarely mango), a lot of different meats, something is always cooked at your presence. sea: calm, there were algae for 2 days during our stay. the sea is warmest. marine life seen: fish, octopus, shells with inhabitants, starfish, and fish. weather: for several days in a row there were tropical rains, which lasted no more than an hour and during which you can continue to swim. staff: very friendly, at the reception they try, but it is obvious that at times they cannot cope with the flow of guests, although they try very hard to help everyone. we had to wait to be checked it. location: Juan Dolio beach, 40 minutes from Boca Chica, an hour and a half to Santo Domingo. nature: you will certainly see crabs and small lizards on the territory, turtles, and fish live in the pond on the territory of the hotel. territory: from the beach to the farthest block is 10 minutes at a quick pace. the territory is green, very beautiful, clean. covid: the hotel strictly adheres to all precautions, antiseptics on every corner, ALL! staff wears respirators or masks! at the entrance to buildings and restaurants, mats for disinfecting shoes. the pathways are washed with chlorine. 5 stars to this hotel for safety! room: superior is spacious, everything worked- animation: great evening shows and daytime programs on the beach, guys are trying hard. My wife and I has been in another resort before and our opinion about the customer service is the BEST, from the check in area, guest service and other facilities was excellent. Beach is good enough to have a good time, food with a good variety and nice flavor there are many options trough the resort. Room comfortable enough, strong A/C , hot water good. I have to mention the service to move my luggage from the front desk to the room was EXCELLENT in both way. Bacner make special attention with Us and we send special thanks. At the Bares department ( ONE COFFE) we received an special attention with the BEST COFFE we ever taste from LUZ DEL CARMEN and there not enough words to say THANKS.
I was referred this Hotel Emotions in Juan Dolio & booked it due to Internet includes because I had to work 2 days out of the 3 days I was staying. I booked a room that states private pool and has a photo of a swim up, however when I got there they put me in a room with no private pool, it’s an adult private pool you have to leave your room for. There was no electricity on one side, AC not working and I was not given a tour or any guidance to where anything was. I had to walk all the way to front to express I was put in the wrong room only to be charged $20 more a night. I was told someone will be there to help with our luggage in 20 minutes which turned out to be a hour 1/2 with no AC and hungry until I continued to call for someone to come. That night I went to prep my computer to get ready to work the next day and couldn’t because the internet doesn’t work, I was force to wake up extra early, walk to the from lobby and work 9-10 hours there with one computer because I couldn’t have the two because there was no room, so I spent most of my time in there office but not in the room I paid for to be comfortable. The lounge where you get food is full of big flies, stray cats and dogs begging for food, jumping on you for food, dirty bloody bathroom, terrible service and management do not want to compensate at least 50%. Cooks wear no gloves and touches seasoning with his hands but you need to wear a glove to get food. Management do not care. I asked to do what’s fair and the want to compensate me for 1 day for 1 person however I paid for two. This is ridiculous! Do not come here! I can’t even express everything else I experienced but it’s not worth it! I have included a photo of the main bathroom and have videos of the animals just coming out of no where…
While looking for our vacation we checked many hotels and read many reviews . Now, after the vacation I can confirm that the beach is fantastic, the hotel is very clean, the drinks at the bar - always great , the food was very good (especially Mexican restaurant) and the coffee was honestly the best I ever had. But the main treasure of this place is the staff. They are very friendly and always ready to help you with any issue you might have. I regret not taking the names of all people I want to thank, but the one very special is Esmer - always smiling, always at your service. Thank you all for the beautiful time !
I spent 10 days in the DR with 7 nights at Emotions, my home away from home. 3 nights was spent in Santo Domingo which is less than an hour guagua (bus ride). This hote is nicely located between San Pedro, Boca Chica and Santo Domingo. I’ve always felt welcomed by the staff, am very comfortable and feel safe in this Juan Dolio location. Many thanks for the wonderful service from all the staff, special mentioned to the morning waiters- Orlando, Jonathan, Juana, Juan Carlos and a new waiter who’s name I don’t remember; afternoon waiters - Roberto, Pedro, Windy, Dariza and so many others and of course the restaurant teams of Domingo, Jose, Jose Daniel and others. Supervisor Diego always has a smile on his face which is contagious. The bartenders always make things fun with a bachata move to the day- gracias Juan Carlos a la piscina, Juan Gilberto, Pedro, Basilio at the beach and so many others. Everyone works hard and do their best to make the clients experience one to remember. The cleaning staff also work hard and deserve a mention, muchas gracias. The food in the restaurants is delicious and the buffet always has a good variety. The beach had a lot of algae this time but that’s all over the country this year.
