...Don't go by the pictures on their website as the rooms look nothing like that. We arrived and rooms were not ready well after check in time... When we got to the room it was just starting to get cleaned so we waited outside for an hour for the room to get clean... When we got in the room it had water damage all over baseboards and furniture... We were a family of 3 and the room only had 2 towels each day and they never brought us towels for the 3rd family member to shower... I would have called but couldn't since the phone in the room did not work so I had to walk far to ask for towels since room was far...

...I understand the resort needs to make money but so many things are extra $$ from beer, wine dinners you want anything premium it’s cost you. Now the thing that make me never want to return, on weekends this resort is overrun with locals… some are very nice people but other think they own the resort and tourist are dirt, so if you can go Monday to Friday it would be a nice trip but the weekend just made the trip not enjoyable at all, and I would not recommend spending your money or time at Emotions...

...Adult section facing the kids clubs (we paid extra for the adult section!)... We asked to change rooms they said they were full when there were empty rooms next to us with spider webs on the balcony... You will be asked to go for a meeting in exchange of a 15 minutes massage or t-shirt, this is for time sharing- we didn’t go to the meeting as the experience we had was not meeting our lowest expectations so why invest in their facilities... Will not recommend neither go back as there are other nicer resorts...

Once you check in they try to sell you a package to come back when you don’t even know what to expect... A rep asks you to show a visa because he will get 50$ usd... To help him out & not be asked every day we gave him 20$& he stoped saying hi to us... When the locals are at the beach they get vip service & I have to beg to get a drink .... Over all definitely not coming back, even if it was for free...

I give this hotel two stars and the main reason is that they make you waste a lot of time and don't let you enjoy your vacation experience as it should... They will offer you to be part of their elite program and they will make you waste the entire morning by offering you something that in my case is not worth it and that I can do with the points that my card offers me... If you agree to the appointment make sure you understand and ask though as there are charges and things that they won't tell you until the end and can take you by surprise...

Although we faced many challenges, most of the staff went above and beyond to make things right for me... The staff is the main reason I always return... Huge Thank you to the manager Luis who made sure all my guest accommodations were taken cared of... Thank you to Jose Mateo for dealing with the day to day issues with all my guest... Although we were forced to eat at the buffet every day, Jonathan always made us feel special and took good care of us... Thank you to Edison who helped me with last minute requests at the Buffet... Without his help my trip would of been a disaster... Last but not least, I would love to thank Maria Dolores for being simply exceptional... She listened to all my grievances and always tried to find a way to accommodate me...

...Even if you see that there is a street splitting the resort, no issue there honestly and there is always a person to verify that you can cross, we felt really safe... Luis is the best server I ever see !... He is professional and always there to make sure you are enjoying your vacation...

When we arrived, check in was the bare minimum of cx service; we had to figure out by ourselves where to go... They said someone would take us to our room (bell boy): never happened... First night, we didn’t get the room we reserved for, no hot water in the shower... Adult section facing the kids clubs (we paid extra for the adult section!)... The beach was cleared of seaweed once on 7 days only... Even if nobody in restaurant they will ask for men not to be in shorts (we were the only table!)... Staff mainly speak spanish, a few speaks english but if you do not have basic spanish it might get hard to be served... Some employees work really hard and ran to serve clients, they were short on mamajuana (local drink) so the employees did some mix to have something similar... The place was cleaned, oldish but cleaned, staff were overall nice if you speak spanish... Met clients who were at their second or third visit and they said that it used to be way nicer...

The rooms were good and this is the second trip to Dominican... The big reason we went back was the staff we met were so nice and the beach was amazing when we went to Punta Cana 20 years prior... He was so friendly and made our stay extra enjoyable... While walking along the walkway we were constantly acknowledged by staff who put hand to heart as you met them and gave a heartfelt greeting!... The seaweed was well controlled and the beach was raked and cleaned very well...

I would like to give the kids club a 5 star rating as they were fantastic with our 8 year old daughter, as well as our friends’ 7 year old. The kids would ask to be dropped off there and were interested in many of the activities they provided for the kids... We appreciated that the Kids Club employees (Sayrobi, Evelyn and Yennifer) were attentive to the kids and took very good care of them... Sayrobi speaks excellent English which was helpful when my bilingual wife was not there to translate...

...When you go to look for the towels they never have available, you would have to get up early to be lucky to get one... They will offer you a free spa for the invitation to be a member, but then they will tell you that everything is booked upat the spa...

They seem to be short staffed and cannot keep up with cleaning the tables and setting them for the next guests or clean cutlery when busy at the buffet... Doulce from the Essence lounge provides excellent customer service and always willing to help!... Ask for whipped cream to top it off... Snacks (nuts, pretzels, chips) are not provided but if you go to the “Milwaukee” you can help yourself to nachos and cheese or popcorn when it is available...

I went back to Emotions in November to take my mother in law to reunite with her sisters and family. We had an excellent time and were treated with so much kindness by all the staff... The attendants at the entrance were always ready to assist her with her walker where needed... I have an Elite Collection membership and the team greeted us as family, including but not limited to Rafael Polo, Genaro, July, Salatiel and Francisco...

...The food was really good, but the staff is what did it for me. You literally don’t have to lift a finger if you don’t want to... Everywhere you turn there was someone there at your every need and call... Shout out to the staff at the beach buffet and to Jose at the opus Bar, very helpful and joy to be around...

...We stayed in one of their Swim Out Essentia Rooms... The rooms are nice and modern, cleaned every day... Room service available 24hrs but only with burgers, hot dogs, etc...bring your own condiments as they only have ketchup and mayo... Note that 99% of workers only speak spanish... If you book an excursion, make sure to go through Santiago at the Rancho Sol Del Mar counter on the beach... He was AMAZING and friendly without being pushy at all...

Overall, it was average all inclusive resort... Pools, bars, and rooms, not impressed with any options... I understand the resort needs to make money but so many things are extra $$ from beer, wine dinners you want anything premium it’s cost you...

...We arrived pretty late (8pm) and the check in was quick and easy. We stayed in the adults only section which is nice secluded area, has it’s own pool and jacuzzi... The pool was a bit dirty (leaves, small twigs and dead bugs/flies) I didn’t stay in for too long, I did not try out the jacuzzi... The room was nice, my biggest annoyance was the fact that every morning I legit had to kill at least 5 nat flies or whatever they were in the bathroom... Bathroom was okay, not the cleanest but not the dirtiest... The bed was comfy for my liking (if your someone who enjoys a pitch black room at night.. good luck!... The ace unit has a light that’s shines bright so if your looking for complete darkness you might just end up with a hot room)... The buffet is literally across the street along with the snack bar and the Essentia rooms which is literally on the beach...

...They said someone would take us to our room (bell boy): never happened. First night, we didn’t get the room we reserved for, no hot water in the shower... Adult section facing the kids clubs (we paid extra for the adult section!)... You will get asked to buy stuff on the beach every 5 minutes or so... Towels were often missing so ended up keeping our same beach towel for more than 3 days... The place was cleaned, oldish but cleaned, staff were overall nice if you speak spanish... Will not recommend neither go back as there are other nicer resorts...

...The foliage and walkways are a dream to walk through. The resort is so well maintained and enjoyable to experience... I was in love with my morning walks to the buffet/beach... We upgraded to the swim up rooms and it was the best decision for us!... We had private pool parties at our leisure but very much enjoyed the beach... The sand is marvelous and the water was tub warm... We speak French, English and Spanish and you can get around with either language almost anywhere or with anyone... We have never wanted to stay more at a resort than this one... Bring your own hot sauce and you'll do great ;)...

The rooms were good and this is the second trip to Dominican... The big reason we went back was the staff we met were so nice and the beach was amazing when we went to Punta Cana 20 years prior... Simeon at the pool bar was a highlight of the trip... He was so friendly and made our stay extra enjoyable... While walking along the walkway we were constantly acknowledged by staff who put hand to heart as you met them and gave a heartfelt greeting!... The only downside was the shortage of beach towels and wash cloths!... The seaweed was well controlled and the beach was raked and cleaned very well... The reef that broke waves from crashing the beach was a welcome surprise and made our time in the water safe and enjoyable!...

...We had a nice time at the resort, it was quiet and relaxing which is what we were looking for. We stayed in building 1 on the beach as we chose the Essentia Swim out room when booking... The reason for 3 stars is we paid $400 each to upgrade to an Essentia swim out room but found no real upgrades except free room service... The pool is in the shade and not heated so you can only stay in for a few minutes... The Essentia only pool on the beach is very small and was overrun with children the whole week... The beach is nice the water is calm and warm never had to fight for chairs...

...We were situated far from the beach and pool and asked them to change rooms and they did it without hesitation... The pool was nice, we spent most days there... The beach is nice but too salty for my fam so preferred the pool Get your beach towels at 8AM or else no towels for you... We played pool (billiards) as well as ping pong and field chess...

...The kids would ask to be dropped off there and were interested in many of the activities they provided for the kids... Sayrobi speaks excellent English which was helpful when my bilingual wife was not there to translate... Other parts of the resort may not meet my standards of 5 stars, but the rooms are very clean, the beach is well tended and a great place to float the day away!...

Good resort, very clean all around, buffet is better than typical resort buffet, with variety and some taste to it. The free Mexican restaurant is not bad at all... The beach is beautiful, you can walk barefoot in both directions for miles... Friendly and helpful staff, not pushy whatsoever about tipping... Vendors on the beach are very present, but polite and not too insistent... If you're looking to spend your vacations listening to loud dance music and engaged in routinized entertainment activities that most school kids would find infantilizing and inexplicably loud, this is your spot...

...It is a nice resort with a beautiful beach!... The room was clean and the bed was comfortable... We decided on a room with the swim up pool... Because we are facing the north there is no direct sun so the water in the pool is very cold... We did not see anyone use that pool... It does however offer a quiet peaceful area to relax... The al a cartes were really good- especially the Italian and Mexican!... Doulce from the Essence lounge provides excellent customer service and always willing to help!... We really missed having comfortable chairs to sit on while enjoying the evening... The “One” coffee shop on the strip has some delicious coffee and hot chocolate... Ask for whipped cream to top it off... The weekend fills up with locals so the noise level goes up a bit and the buffet is busier...

...The food was good, the entertainement team was on point everyday with multiple activities and shows (Ramon, Santo Diaz, Graciela and Elvis). The bartenders were also very friendly, especially Pablo... You can also book a restaurant everyday... Rooms are clean, theres a nice cofee shop, a lot of excursions available...

I was curious to find a nice spot for my wedding guests in Dominican republic since I am from the town of bocachica and I really didn’t like the options I’ve had there… thanks to my travel lady, because she suggested this gem of a place. They’ve made my guest experience so nice and I’m really happy I chose them because I truly felt like my guest were protected and entertained... They had a great variety of food, and the beach was amazing and the pools are awesome too !... They had a great entertainment to keep my guests busy, and also to make memories with them...

...This is our second time staying at this resort - the first time was 6 years ago when my husband and I first started dating... We stayed in one of their Swim Out Essentia Rooms... Highly recommend this as it's located right beside the buffet, 2 ala carts and the beach... The rooms are nice and modern, cleaned every day... Room service available 24hrs but only with burgers, hot dogs, etc...bring your own condiments as they only have ketchup and mayo... The beach was very nice, however we got approached by vendors literally 20 times in 1 hr every single time we went there... We had to stay by the Essentia Pool just to not be bothered...

...We arrived and rooms were not ready well after check in time... I couldn't use drawers to put my clothes or hang them up... The pool closes before it's dark and they ever had clean towels to give us to use at the pool... We were a family of 3 and the room only had 2 towels each day and they never brought us towels for the 3rd family member to shower... I would have called but couldn't since the phone in the room did not work so I had to walk far to ask for towels since room was far... You would think after that I would have 3 towels the next night and night nope just two...
