Yes I gave it a five star is it truly a five-star hotel no. However the service is excellent the rooms are more than adequate and very clean. Beach is small but not crowded food above average but plenty. Drinks well let's say they don't skip on the alcohol . Bartender is amazingly friendly and makes one heck of a...

This hotel has good, clean rooms with plenty of basic amenities, from the pool to the food to the beach chairs and towels at the private beach. We appreciated the gorgeous coconut palms and turquoise water there, as well as the opportunity to buy local handicrafts and fresh fruits from artisans who walked the beach - they were polite and...

First time in Dominican Republic and decided to stay in Juan Dolio, instead of Punta Cana, since the location is much better to visit the country and closer to Santo Domingo. The rooms are very basic and a bit outdated, this is however compensated by a direct access to a fantastic beach. Great nightline close by at Boca Chica. Wifi...

My expectations were greatly exceeded. An older, small and inexpensive resort, was spotlessly clean, with a nice pool area, and a well kept beach front. Gardens were attractive and well cared for. The staff were very friendly, helpful and as attentive as it gets in the Caribbean. Do not expect glitz or mile long buffets. This resort is basic, and...

The beach and access were excellent. There were security personnel at the junction of the public-resort beach area to discourage sellers, stray animals, and non-guests. Food was included buffet style. Pool excellent. Room was OK. Not the Marriott, but the beach was the reason we went!

For 5 years I have been delighted with a month on the beach under a coconut tree at this Resort. By now I know all the staff and many of the other repeat clients. The rooms are basic and scrubbed daily. The food is much improved over the years and always provides a variety of options. The hotel is currently...
