I am a hotel owner in New Jersey. I rarely write reviews but after my weekend at The Hotel Casa Hemingway, I need to tell people how amazing this place is. Impeccably clean, Amazing friendly and helpful staff, amenities galore, private beach, restaurants, a beautiful little church on property, and the grounds are beyond beautiful! Since I am in this industry, I am typically very critical of my hotel stays around the world, but I could honestly not say one negative thing about my weekend at this hotel. Hats off to the management of this place, they have their stuff together!!

I was looking for a place to stay overnight that was not too far from Boca Marina restaurant, and after reading the excellent reviews we settled on this hotel. Casa Hemingway did not disappoint. We stayed in the studio master suite , which was extremely spacious and clean with nice decor. Perhaps my favorite part of the room was the oversized balcony where I sat and took in the warm island breeze.
Due to the weather, we did not get to enjoy the pool or the beach but we enjoyed walking the well manicured grounds of the property. Our package included breakfast, with a choice of a continental breakfast or the traditional Dominican breakfast. We decided to go with the Dominican breakfast accompanied by a couple of mimosas. The food was excellent and the service was great.
We will definitely be back for a longer stay, thank you Casa Hemingway!

Literally, the most amazing hotel with the best service and beautiful location. They have nailed the boutique beach hotel vibe with vaulted ceilings, minimal, clean and thoughtful design that brings the gorgeous outdoor landscape inside. They have 4 pools (each with a shallow end for the kids), an outdoor playground, an equestrian club, in room massages and 4 restaurants....one is even out on a pier, like seriously?! The kitchens in the apartments are fully stocked and their is even a washer and dryer in your apartment. Housekeeping is available daily too and they offer fresh towels and bottled water. It’s like the best of every world, private accommodations with hotel luxuries.
I cannot recommend this place enough and if you are looking for a quick escape from Santo Domingo this is where you have to go!

I am generally hesitant of Apartment style hotels in Dominican Republic.. but at that this price point and after reading reviews I felt confident that it wouldn't be your typical apartment style property and more just hotel that happens to offer apartments.. and we were correct! We arrived later in day, after spending day on beach, and check in process was quick and painless and we got the details on where to dine and after quick shower. we headed to the pier restaurant for a delicious a meal. The room was fantastic and I was almost sad we didn't wake up to a rainy day so we could have lounged in bed all day. Breakfast was a great buffet and I was able to order eggs cooked to order to compliment the many options offered on buffet. We hit the beach and enjoyed the pool
The service on the entire property was top notch. Particularly the security which we have always hated at hotels in this area... they were friendly, helpful and just overall a big asset

Just returned from 5 days at Casa Hemingway, chose to stay here because of the in room kitchen and location. Was perfect for us as we like mellow and quieter locations and this hit the mark. Room was very nice with huge balcony where we ate dinner. Breakfast was included and very nice. I suppose we were there on an off week because the place felt like we had exclusive use of the pools. Drinks on the water were delightful.Walk to the beach took a few minutes and guards are all around so felt very safe. Natalia at the front desk was patient with my inquiries and arranged for anything I asked, golf , car service, all with a smile , truly an asset to Casa Hemingway.
Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This is a terrific option close to Santo Domingo. This is an elegant boutique hotel furnished with exquisite taste, only one block away from the beach where you can enjoy bar and chaise longues facilities. Staff is very attentive and food is great. All health protocols were strictly complied with. Highly recommendable

A great weekend getaway/birthday celebration. I would definitely recommend Casa Hemingway. The beds in this hotel were phenomenal.
Had a wonderful, quiet stay at Casa Hemingway. The staff was amazing! Special shout out to the night manager who jumped into action when I frantically ran downstairs at 2:15 am to change our airport transport to 2:30 am from 3:30 am due to a canceled flight.
My only negative comments are 1) the cost of airport transport should be on the website and posted in the rooms. Since it's a separate added charge it should be easier to find. 2) the buffalo wings in marinara sauce weren't a favorite. 3) there should be signs to point you to the beach.
Fantastic stay at Casa Hemingway.

The staff at Casa Hemingway is very professional and friendly; the grounds are beautiful and access to the beach and the Embarcadero restaurant was excellent.
The reason for the 3 stars is the fact that the rooms are in need of maintenance. My room had an issue with the shower last night - there was a small electrical malfunction with the water heater that sounded like an explosion in the shower and left a terrible rotten egg smell in my the bathroom and the whole room (mind you I was showering when this happened).
My husband reported the incident to reception immediately and at first it didn’t seem like anyone was concerned until I also went downstairs to report the issue in Spanish.
An employee named Melvin was called and he was very helpful finally. He intervened and asked reception to change us to another room and even offered to help move our belongings.
The room they moved us to was ok but the washer and dryer were not working - again the rooms need to be paid attention to. Melvin and the reception employee were once again apologetic and let me use another room’s washer/dryer in the meantime - they were trying to help but it’s not their fault that management is not investing in the maintenance of the rooms. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the staff is great but I am not sure the rooms are worth the hassle and inconvenience.

We spent a weekend at Casa Hemingway and it was quite satisfactory, the rooms are spacious and have good taste, although some furniture needs to be renovated.
Facilities in general are in good condition, the service is good, except for the Room Service, which they send you packed as doggy bags. The quality of the food is quite good and the wine list is very complete.
We will definitely be back.

The ONLY down side to this hotel was the 1 1/2 hour transport to and from Puntacana Airport.
The food was some of the very best I have ever had at a resort. The all-you-can-eat had high quality dishes that varied every meal. The hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. There are lots of healthy choices as well as plenty of opportunities to indulge. The Mexican specialty restaurant was so delicious too!
The staff at this resort are INCREDIBLE! They served us quickly at every meal and every bar. They were also fun and playful .
The rooms were spotless and the beach is stunning. We had no problems getting lounge chairs in the shade of gorgeous palm trees but there was also plenty of room on the expansive beach for those who wanted full sun.
My sister and I really enjoyed a couple of massages from Ladys Hernandez and her team at the resort spa. The spa was clean and beautiful; the whole experience was so relaxing and reasonably priced.
