We stayed here for a week and this place was perfect for us. It's beautiful, almost every room had an ocean view. The property was well maintained while keeping a cabana aesthetic. The property was right on a beautiful beach. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The owner went out of his way to chat with us and gave us some advice about the area. The staff went out of there way to take care of our needs. It seemed like other places we stayed just saw us as walking dollar signs and I really appreciated how kind everyone was at The Cabarete Lodge This is probably the best value you'll find in the area. It spoiled us as we had similar expectations of price and quality for the rest of our trip. Equivalent neighboring properties are double the price. Its safe and peaceful. The property is in a gated community away from main roads so you won't have to deal with loud honking or scooters. We were working during our trip and we had consistent internet. We went to Cabarete daily for kiting and it was only 10 minutes away by scooter. I'd recommend you rent a scooter if you stay in Cabarete. They are about $50 a week.…
The location of this hotel is awesome, the atmosphere is super relax, you do have to keep in mid its an eco friendly hotel, some of the rooms are open, but I loved the fact they were kept clean. its a great place to stay if you want to get to know Cabarete, great and secure location.
Our vacation to the Puerto Plata Area was split in to two parts - initial stay was at an all inclusive and the latter stay was at this location. First, if your ideal experience is a big resort with loads of planned activities, then the all inclusive resorts is where you should go. On the other hand, if you are looking for harmony with nature, unspoiled beaches, an immersive experience where the sounds of nature lull you to sleep, this is the right place to come to. We spent time at the pool, the beach, back to the pool, met other guests and swapped travel stories. Overall a very memorable experience made better by Mark’s ( the owner) personal presence and access.
This place is not what you see. The stay was dirty with bugs and lots of dust, the pool was green and the little bar plays really bad loud music that is really disturbing even uf you want to go for a drink. We were lucky enough to have Natura Cabana close by, a really quiet hotel with bungalows and 2 amazing restaurants. It is a bit more expensive, yet we really regret not staying there.
Wonderful place with an amazing view. The pools are so great. And the spot next to the beach is juste so relaxing and beautiful. The hotel is only at 20 min walking from encuentro beach. The breakfast is rich, there's a lot to eat and the employees are really kind.
