Every summer, when the wind doesn't blow were I live, I take a trip to a windy place to get my kitesurfing fix. I've traveled to Cabarete for kitesurfing before, about 8 years ago. The Barefoot Beach Pad gets 5 stars in all categories for me. If you want a fabulous kitesurfing spot that is away from the kite beach...

I stayed at this wonderfully quiet hotel for 3 ahort days in February and immediately fell in love with it. It was a very last minute booking (less than one hour ahead of checking in!!), but management handled our check-in very responsibly and professionally, making sure that we were comfortable while they prepared our room. The staff is phenomenal; very...

Barefoot Beach Pad was perfect - it's a 30-40 minute walk on the beach to Cabarete, a perfect distance to experience the town and also get away from it to the quiet retreat. BBP is a small, intimate hotel, where you get to know your neighbors. Hector was great in sharing advice and helping to navigate activities, taxi rides, etc....

Any closer and you'd be camping on the beach. Amazing to be able to leave the balcony door open to hear the waves at night. A little far to town...not a problem if you're ok with that. Andres & his wife live on site, ready to make a meal or take care of anything else. Security is present at night....

I loved the location. Because it was a bit down the road from town, it was the most peaceful place I've ever been. Extremely safe! Getting to town was a breeze: walk or cheap transport. Hector provided a great first trip to town, including stops to exchange money and grocery shop. He also arranged reliable, reasonable airport transport. Great coammunicator...

I could not have asked for a better place to stay while in DR. Beautiful ocean views with the pool and beach steps away. Peaceful and relaxing. No noise -- just the wind from the sea keeping it cool and without any mosquitos. You wake up to the sunrise every morning. Hector and Andres offered all the help you could...

Inexpensive, clean, beautiful pool and beach location made Barefoot a great choice for our first trip to DR. From Andres greeting us at 9:00pm in a rain storm and preparing fresh calamari and fish for us to Hector taking us in his car for a mini tour of the town of Cabarete, we felt most comfortable and happy to be...

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stay during a week of kiteboarding in Cabarete. Barefoot Beach Pad was perfect. The room was spacious, simply but comfortably furnished, and very clean. The courtyard/pool area was pleasant, and the tiki-hut bar/grill area was charming. Andres, the caretaker/cook, was super friendly and made us custom breakfast each morning at...

The hotel is just as many have described it. Quite. Far from the noise and very clean. Great for a romantic gataway. Room were simply great. Ac wasn't powerful but the room was never hot. TV was old but with cable. Didn't use it. The attendant, Andres, was very nice. Couldn't ask for more.
