Great ocean view room! We loved the large balcony and chaise lounges. The beds were firmer than we like. beautiful beach with chaise lounges and lots of palm trees if you want shade. The pool is small but we knew that and we don't use the pool anyways. We got breakfast a couple times and it was good. We didn't eat at the restaurant, so many other food places nearby. It was fun watching the kitesurfers. The breaze felt good and it never felt "too windy".
We recently stayed here for 6 nights and were so happy we did, this hotel is awesome! Very lovely, warm feel, clean, spacious rooms, the staff is so friendly and helpful. Rooms were quiet at night and beds comfortable. The bar and restaurant are very good, food is really great, service is prompt. The pizza was to die for! Cocktails are very tasty and well made as well. The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything but not too noisy . We had a 4th floor room with a large patio overlooking the ocean and perfect view to see the stars. I will be back!
I went with a group of friends and my two boys (16 and 19). We had a blast. The staff is always very warm and helpful, they have an excellent attitude towards making you feel welcome & safe. The hotel is nice and clean and the location perfect for long walks on the beach and kite surfing. We loved it. Nice variety in different dinner events at a decent price. We will be back, no doubt !
Best all you can eat barbecue on Friday night starting at 7pm. The menu had chicken, pork. Sausage, baked potato, salad garlic bread, potato salad, coleslaw, and desert for 760 peso. The meat is cooked over coals on a open grill, great flavours I would highly recommend not eating dinner, wait for the feast, be there early to eat at the first call. The key lime pie is amazing, but not included, we got this on another visit
its what you can expect of a 3 star hotel, as far as the infrastructure a regular no glory 3 star hotel, the BIG difference its the employees, all of them ready to help you and assist you....I highly recommend it
We were refugees from Hurricane Fiona and the staff made us feel most welcome. Our stay was longer than expected but mostly pleasant. We had reserved the large suite downstairs but had to request a move because (as others have said) there was a musty odor. Also the fan was making some noise. The room we were moved to was acceptable. The bed was somewhat hard but otherwise ok. The sink had a large drain hole that was uncovered. I like to use the sink with water in it, but that was impossible. The two soap dispensers (there was no shampoo or conditioner) were difficult to operate and dispensed a very small amount with each pump. As a person with disabilities, I have to be careful where there is a wet surface on the floor. The restaurant is in an outside building and one has to cross over walkways with fairly slippery stones including having to go up an incline at one point. There were puddles all over the place and no apparent effort to clear the water. At a minimum, there should be some kind of non-skid materials placed on the stones and concrete. A couple of the receptionists were very courteous and knowledgeable. But, as we checked out, the very young lady who tried to help us was clueless about the bill. The bill is in German and the size of many spreadsheets. It appeared that she was requesting a lot more for the stay than should have been. I speak fluent Spanish, but she just didn't understand or could explain the bill. We finally worked through it and resolved an issue than should not have been a problem. I was correct that the total was far less than we were first led to believe. The Assistant Manager, Lena (sp?) was most gracious throughout our stay and constantly asked if there was anything we needed. She is quite an asset.…
The place is lovely! Just the perfect spot between relax and lively. The room are super clean, comfortable bedding, very nice staff. Electricity and hot water were always running very well. The best location in the bay, very quiet in the morning and mostly at night too. The bar and restaurant on site are good and don’t make too much noise. During the day, as the winds come around 1 o’clock, it is enough busy to enjoy company all around for the kite. The Kite school on site makes a nice atmosphere with the regulars and newbies.
Villa Taina is an absolutely magical space for me, my family and my Friends. Very good location in the center of Cabarete beach!!!. the hotel building is located deep from the main road and has ocean view restaurant and bar. I loved to spent my time there with my family and friends :) This place became special and took on a lively rhythm when Zhenya and Roma began working there. These incredible guys, with their professionalism and energy, managed to revive and transform this place in the best way. I look forward to meet them next year and visit my favourite Place ! . Highly recommend!!!!
do you appreciate friendly and helpful staff at all times and for many different needs? stay at hotel villa taina and you will be taken care of in an professional way and at the same time feel like beeing part of the big taina family. while some corners of the place get needed little make-overs, it is already a perfect place to relax, do water sports and spend time with books and friends. I specially liked the owners to be around daily and always in dialog with their guests about wind, kite technique and needs of the guests. Also I want to point out the perfect service provided by many of the taina staff. Nothing better to start or end a day in the restaurant or bar while being taken care of the young Russians Roman and Jenny, they are amazing!
Great location for windsurfing. My wife liked it too as a non-windsurfer because of the easy access to the beach. Good bar and restaurant and excellent and professionnal service by Roman and Jenny. They are the perfect mix of courtesy and kindness. They made us feel like family right from the start.
