Hotel Playazul is in a lovely setting. Having said that, there isn't much else positive that I can say about it. Steps lead down to a beach, but the beach is littered with trash, so one certainly wouldn't actually sit on the beach, much less swim! When we were there, the wi fi was not working. One cannot get a...

This is a modest hotel that needs better upkeep. We were put in one room and the air conditioning didn't work. Then, the lamps didn't work in the next room and couldn't be fixed. The room was reasonably clean. Breakfast was included in the cost to be served from 7 a.m. on. We were there at 7:15 and no breakfast....

The views are fantastic from this hotel overlooking a Cliff to Crystal clear blue water. The food was good and the staff very attentive and friendly. Not a five star by any means but quiet and relaxing it is. Love it I will be back

First of all this is not a five star resort so if that is what you are looking for you may want out check out another place. But what I can say is the place is clean, neat, & tidy and the staff are attentive. You get your privacy and it is quiet. The pool is nice. In my opinion...

This place sucked from food to service to everything else! We ordered coffee and a breakfast and the coffee got to the table cold. We had to ask for milk and that seemed to be a problem. Then when the breakfast came it was a scoop of scrambled eggs on a huge plate and... That's it lol. They charged 150...

Really nice hotel with a really great beach (not for swimming, but anyway great view!!). The first two nights we were in another hotel. Eventually decided to stay another night in these beautiful places. Stopped at this hotel and were very pleased with my choice. The perfect combination of price and quality. Clean rooms. Delicious breakfast.

I spent 3 nights at Playazul recently and I was very happy with my choice. The setting is quite incredible,( the private beach is stunning although you need to be a good swimmer) and the restaurant serves quality meals. My room was fairly clean (bit of a damp odor but what can you do, it's rainy season) and the staff...

We have stayed in Barahona previously on mission trips and Playazul was a special treat. To be able to see the beautiful ocean views and have the caring staff made for a rewarding trip with needed relaxation when we returned to the hotel. Beautiful grounds, great food, an hostess. Couldn't ask for better in this area of the DR. Can't...

Great views and easy access to Barahona. Food is amazing, and owners were responsive to room issues. Internet quality poor, but great excuse to be off the grid. Recommend for an off the beaten track resort.
