Before talking about the place, I want to talk about he staff. The most outstanding hotel staff we have met in Dominican Republic... where do they find this staff and how do they training? Who knows? But they are amazing. They make every effort for your stay to be perfect and they have a touch of being personable but not... More

If you want top shelf service without being in a busy and loud all-inclusive, this is the place. Small, quaint, quiet, tucked away in the mountains, with an awesome view of the beach, this place has top shelf food and spa. It is hard to find super clean in Baharona and this place is it. I have a place in... More

Casa Bonita is the address to stay in the fabulous coastline that runs from Barahona to Pedernales, with breathtaking views, jewel-like colours and hillsides spilling with palm and mango trees. The best features are the swimming pool area as well as the river spa and the zip line built amidst the Bahoruco forest. Plenty of things to do and discover... More

I heard of Casa Bonita Tropical Lodge on a Dominican television program a few years ago and promised myself to visit the place one day. My wife and I just spent two wonderful nights at Casa Bonita celebrating our first wedding anniversary. Wow! this place fulfills all expectations: The place is a dream, the food is out of this world,... More

This lodge is nestled in the mountains, you have both a beautiful mountain view and a stunning ocean view. The hotel is at the top of a hill, which you get to up a very bumpy gravel road, one part of the road had been washed out a little scary at night, especially as there is no lighting of any... More

We have stayed at this place for 3 nights and it was simply amazing! It is a 3.5h drive from Santo Domingo where we have landed, but this part of the island is so beautiful and non commercialized. Somehow out of nowhere there is this beautiful resort siting on top of the hill a few minutes from the beach. Nice fresh... More

This may be a thorough review so please read on... The drive from Santo Domingo to Casa Bonita takes approximately 3.5 hours with the occasional pit stops in each town you cross through. Roads were recently repaved (2016) and are in good condition but be wary at night as no street lighting is available in most parts of the road.... More

We ate at the restaurant several times during our stay in Baharona. The food was outstanding. The service was very good as well. We kept going back because we enjoyed it so much. The view was wonderful and the breeze refreshing.

We had a pleasant three-day stay at the Casa Bonita. Service was generally good. We asked for a couple of small things to be done in the room but they were not done until we reminded them again. They took care of them and we were appreciative of the apology. We enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. The quality of... More
