I've been coming to Los Cocos for many years, then later, after they built Fiesta Inn in Chetumal, I started going there. Mistake. Fiesta Inn prices have gone up . Los Cocos has maintained steady, reasonable prices while their service has continued being five star. Front dest staff was helpful and courteous, and everyone was very outgoing and ready to help. Especially nice is the food and staff at Las Palmas restaurant. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Looking forward to my next visit.
We have been coming here for about 5 years and this hotel is still our favorite. It is in the middle of town and close to so many things by walking, VERY CLEAN, very nice people, well maintained, and free gated parking. The pools are lovely and for the premium room, it is only $55 a night. AC works well!
Very nice clean, quiet and comfortable hotel. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Very accommodating. While we did not make use of the swimming areas ( weather) the commitment of the hotel to keep these areas clean and safe was impressive. We had a late departure and the hotel offered to store our luggage until much later past check out time.
Clean, friendly, VERY well maintained, beautiful pools and hot tub, off-street parking included, great restaurant on-site, and we can even call and make reservations in English. It is right in the center of Chetumal so that you can walk to many sites and shopping places.
Garmin led me to a building that had Los Cocos painted on the wall. Inside, two idle desk clerks looked for my reservation but couldn't find it. This was Los Coco ABH (all business hotel). Neither clerk toook the effort to explain that the correct Los Cocos was adjacent - same footprint. Confused I got back on the motorcycle and searched for Los Cocos. The phone led me back - but to the other side of the block. Both the ABH and Los Cocos are owned by brothers. The authentic Los Cocos was great - nice pool, good wifi, ac, friendly staff. Good value. The All Business Hotel desk staff were indifferent and under worked. It would have taken them less than 5 minutes to show me where the correct hotel was. There wasn't a soul in sight at the ABH so they could have been helpful.
While the hotel is the oldest in Chetumal, it was well maintained and very comfortable. The food was great and we enjoyed pool service a couple of times. The best part is the staff, they are all lovely. I will definitely use Los Cocos in the future.
My favourite part of staying here is eating at the restaurant. It is centrally located near to the market and close enough to walk to night clubs. The mattresses need replacing and the rooms need a general freshen up but they are a good size.
This has got to be one of THE BEST hotels in Chetumal! It is so comfortable and well maintained and the location is great. The restaurant is excellent also. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They have everything that you need.
This hotel hits the mark for value, location & accommodations. I first stayed here about 6 years ago & found it to be just as good now as then. The rooms are large (I upgraded to a Premium room at a modest extra cost to get a room with a balcony). The beds are comfortable & the rooms well-equipped with necessities. Even though I was at the far end of the hotel the wifi signal was strong & reasonably fast. The attached restaurant is large, has an extensive menu & a friendly, professional staff.
Avoid this place, two thirds of our group, 26 people got food poisoning from eating there. Many visits to the hospital, all needed antibiotics. Never, ever, never going to eat there again. Sometimes under the shiny exterior is bad stuff.
