A great place to stay with everything you need and nothing you don't and it is priced accordingly and surprisingly low. A great facility: the rooms, including comfortable bed, air con, hot, modern shower and quiet; great restaurant; large parking lot; a great location; and, to top it off, a friendly staff to help you. What else could you need... More

Look like new hotel and place. Easy to find. Big room with back balcony. Fat mattress, crispy bedsheets and nice new towels. All super clean. Excellent buffet BF included in price. Free Wi-Fi in room and everywhere. Situation 1,2 km from centre, but free bicycle available. Parking for car. I will return to this place next time I go to... More

The Hotel has nice rooms and are of good size and real value for money Seems that many NGO stay their and you need your own transportation as it s not right in the city center - breakfast was included and typical asian breakfast of good quality - Hotel has 3 floors and no elevator - rooms have a nice... We were very impressed with the quality of care we received from the start. The room were very clean for the price we paid for our stay. The room comes with a refrigerator. The staff were excellent, they were friendly and were always willing to help. The only negative: the pillows were very firm and so was the mattress. I... More

Poonagun Hotel is an OK middle class hotel at rasonable prices (720 Baht for a room per night). Location is not very convenient as there are not many bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Rooms are clean and have nice small balconies. A bit strange is the big window from the room to the pathway where everbidy can follow your... More

I have stayed at the Poonnagunn on many occasions. It is an outstanding hotel in so many levels: service, rooms and an amazing breakfast buffet included (you MUST try the home made jams)! What's changed? Just that having got to like the vibe closer in more, I like to be able to walk around and do the markets in the... More

Four times I stayed at Poonnagunn. Good mattress, clean room and hot shower. I like the duvet provided for the bed. Cable TV has some channels in English. At night the place is silent and I always enjoyed a good night sleep. Breakfast is decent including fresh fruits, home made jams and filter coffee. For dinner, you need to walk... More

I stayed in this hotel for two nights with a group. The check in and out was really quick and we were all given rooms in a row, next to each other. The room is new and very clean and the bed is comfortable. The amenities are good too with tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries and even an umbrella... More

After living in Myanmar and staying in many regional Myanmar hotels, I was surprised at just how similar this place felt to some of the more "upmarket" accommodation options in Kayin and Mon States, Bago Region or elsewhere across the border and less like places I've stayed at in the more touristy parts of Thailand. Like many places on the... More

It's a great hotel and my favourite in Mae Sot. I go to Mae Sot a couple of times each year. Personally stayed here a few nights, but our NGO is here many times a year, along with ALL the other NGOs visiting Mae Sot. Very clean, very night and amazing staff. I love the breakfast and sometimes go for... More
