Wow! Excellent holiday. It is very expensive, but worth it. (Roughly £1500 GBP for 1 night including airport transfers) Staff were courteous, food was delicious, the elephants were majestic, they are sustainability aware, they have thought of everything. I did the bubble tent and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Chiag RAI is the closest airport. You have to already be a guest to use the bubble tent.

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed 2 nights at the Anantara Resort in Chiang Rai. The experience was sublime from start to end. It began with a heartfelt greeting from the resort GM - Serge who was extremely hospitable and convivial. The next surprise was our check in which gave us a complimentary upgrade to a suite even though we didn't even ask. The spacious room itself was incredible with a king size bed and huge bathroom including a large bath tub. But what I found most enjoyable was having a large balcony overlooking the wildlife. It was incredible to have the sun rise poke its way through the foliage and trees in the morning while we were waking up. And the grounds of the resort was impressive. I loved the scenic infinity pool which adjacent to the jungle which made for a rustic eclectic experience. The restaurant and bar was huge and in keeping in the nature theme with the wooden floors and walls. The breakfast buffet offered many healthy and delicious choices even for finicky palates like myself. The resort offered us early check in and late check out departure which allowed us to soak in this Anantara resort experience to the max. Finally, I must complement the resort staff for their incredible professionalism and superb service. Everything was done impeccably well and it made for a perfect resort experience. I highly recommend this resort to anyone planning to stay in the Chiang Rai area. This was a perfect stay for us!

We just returned from Thailand, and it is easy to say that our stay at the Anatara Elephant Camp was the highlight of our two week trip. The programs allow you to spend hours with the elephants up close and personal. In the early mornings, you can see the elephants on the grasslands from your balcony! I highly recommend the Walking with Giants program with Tiger! He has worked there for 15 years, and really knows and understands the elephants. It is clear that the camp takes very good care of these rescue elephants. There is NO RIDING, nor should there be. But there is feeding, washing, and interacting with these gentle giants. Plenty of opportunities for amazing photos too. The staff is exceedingly friendly and very accommodating, and the food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Anantara was nothing short of perfect. The staff, accommodations, restaurants and spa were amazing. We enjoyed many activities - boat tour, walking with elephants, and side car - all were so very enjoyable. We both enjoyed our massages, my husband even saying his was the best he ever had and mine was easily in the top three. Not only did we stay there, including the amazing Jungle Bubble, but we also got married at the resort and it was truly magical. Elephants greeted us several times, with getting a chance to feed them. The staff were excellent guests and our riverside dinner was amazing. The best three days we’ve ever had!

A lovely hotel with very kind staff and some great facilities. We enjoyed the elephant activities and spice spoons cooking morning. The swimming pool was very beautiful and the drinks and food poolside very good. We would recommend the Italian restaurant for dinner as opposed to the main hotel restaurant where we found the food and service a bit variable, breakfast was fantastic but dinner less so. Drinks in the bar before dinner were great and all staff members were keen to help and always smiling. Many thanks to everyone at the hotel for their care and hard work.

Our main reason to choose this hotel was the amazing and responsible activities with the elephants, but we were blown away by everything in the hotel. From the details in decoration to the kindness and warmth of EVERYONE in the staff, I couldn't think of a better place to have stayed. It was the highlight of our honeymoon and they gave us such amazing memories we will never forget. We can't wait to go back.

The resort is beautiful, with stunning sunrises over the country setting. Our favorite was the Walking with Elephants experience. Tiger was a great guide, as we hugged the elephants and fed them. The staff is incredibly friendly and responsive. There is a Thai and Italian restaurant on premises. We are from New York, so of course the Italian restaurant was just ok, however the setting is lovely. The Thai restaurant is wonderful and the staff are truly special. What a fabulous experience!

Everything about this resort is absolutely amazing! The staff is so kind, and so efficient with making sure that everything you need is anticipated before you even ask. The resort is absolutely stunning. It is meticulously maintained. All of the food we ate was delicious, and they were very accommodating to special requests (vegetarian, gluten free, etc). Our experiences were out of this world! Walking with the Giants, and staying in a jungle bubble, the Spice Spoons cooking class, and golden triangle boat tour were all things we will never forget. Relaxing at the resort was easy and everything we ever needed was stocked, ready, they provided turndown service nightly with a sleep tray and chocolates. I can’t say enough about how incredibly thought out everything is at this resort. Highly recommend!

The VIP welcome cruising the Mekong was well worth it. Tuk our planning rep met us at the dock and provided some key insights throughout our boat journey...on arrival we were greated by 2 gentle giants...gorgeous elephants and prosseco...we chatted with 3 members of the staff and feed the elephants while learning quite a bit about the area, the hotel, and our impending experience. We stayed in the bubble lodge...totally worth it, where we enjoyed a 4 course meal provided by am amazing and very personable chef. The massage and facials couldn't have been more relaxing, ease of getting around orchestrated perfectly by Tuk. Sun a great bartender and I wish I could remember the names of staff as it was a wonderful collaboration of efforts on all levels..thank you all Kuhn Dee and Kuhn Barry will be back!
