This hotel gave me and my friend very good experience. The room was clean. The view from the restaurant was stunning in breakfast time. There were some restaurants available around the hotel at night. Anybody looking for a good hotel in this area of golden triangle, I recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel at beautiful location , friendly staff , clean amenities, since we liked the property we extended one more night stay during our north Thailand biking trip . There are few restaurants just across the hotel by the river view . Hall of opium is at 500 mtr distance.

All you would expect and more. We arrived post Covid. This hotel has been up kept to its original glory . I first came here back in 2007 . It hasn’t changed only the tourists are gone 😥 if you visit Chiang Rai this is a must stay type of place.. magnificent views best friendly staff will do anything to help .. Thankyou I hope o will come back one day 💕

This hotel is a good hotel with really nice river view. We got an free upgrade to Deluxe River view which is over looking Kong river, Myanmar and Laos boarders. I love everything in the room especially bed and pillows. But surprisingly, there was no iron and board provided for the guests to use even though this is a basic needs for all hotel these days. Housekeeper really helpful and active. Breakfast was a set menu on our stay which is better that our expected. Khun Oil was really helpful and friendly. We will come back again for sure. Thank you for your hospitality 👍 PS. Please consider to provide iron and board for your guest.

This hotel is very old and has no modernisation process for 21 century requirements yet. Our cheapest room is large enough for two persons with double beds, sofa and other amenities. Furnitures and decorations are shown that this is an old hotel from the middle-end of 20 century. No electronic plug nearby the head side of bed which is necessary for everyone who uses a smartphone. TV has just 16 channels and not even included every Thai standard channels, don’t think about foreign channels, No! By the way, the room is clean and the bed is comfy to sleep. Guest should know that air-condition in the room can’t be a heater. For the 10c outside, the room is also very cold too. Even adjusted to 30c for the air-condition. There are a small park backyard the hotel or you can enjoy walking to the Golden Triangle Park. Nice location for who wants or have to visit here. Breakfast is a la carte which you can order more if you want. But the taste are bland and so-so for both American and Thai styles. Very slow service, almost 30 minutes for a scramble egg which is very cold when served!!! I also have a Thai and Northern food for dinner at this restaurant which is also bland and plain taste. I suggest for who wants a real Thai food. You should go to eat at somewhere else for a better taste. The view from restaurant is scenic, better than from the room. You may want to sit outside to enjoy the view. I got a very cheap price for 9xx Baht per night which is not bad for the room size and amenities. But considering the full list price of the hotel which is 2000 or more in Thai baht. I think the breakfast and service need to be improved in many aspects. …

Im stayed this hotel 24-26 Nov it was so good than i expected. The hotel area made you fresh! Room was okay with garden view they had balcony for you to chilled. I’ve requested twin but got 3 beds inside becase staff said hotel was busy on that day, a bit thing i got connecting room even i already mention since i made resercation but it fine. I’ve booked with breakfast but no chance to try. Over all is a good hotel in this area if someone having a trip to visit around, this hotel is one of the good choice.

Arrived here just after the borders with Laos and Myanmar had closed and so the hotel was empty about 10 people in. As was the town. However they still provided a really good service. Unfortunately there was a lot of smoke pollution so the views were very hazy. Room was great with river views and of a good standard. Warm welcome at reception and staff were all friendly. Used the pool which was fantastic and as we were the only ones in it. Restaurant had an inside and outside seating areas so sat out and had cocktails and then went inside to eat. Good menu good food and good service. Bed was comfortable and a good nights sleep was had. Breakfast had been changed to a set menu which was fine with good food and service was once again great.

We stayed in this hotel for one night as part of a tour. Room was clean and tidy. Hotel is in a nice location and is clean and tidy. Good choice at breakfast. We had our main meal in a local restaurant down the road.

Our rooms were very disappointing with badly stained carpets and in my case damaged furniture. Although we were offered alternative rooms it was the the same in the other rooms we were shown and we were advised to wear the slippers provided. The hotel seemed to have very few guests staying and offered no organised tours of the area or information to guide us. We had the swimming pool entirely to ourselves and the restaurant provided only very average food. The staff however were as helpful as they could be, given they spoke very little English.

Check-in very easy, albeit organised by the excellent Discova (previously Buffalo Tours). Room 306, superior room, very big, Kingsize bed very comfortable, as were pillows. Balcony with 2 chairs & table overlooking the river & Golden Triangle. Bathroom rather let it down, shower over the bath, hose attached about 5’ up the wall, which even for 2 short people was too low! Plenty of hot water, towels rather old & grey though. Breakfast adequate, buffet style. Didn’t eat here (would recommend Sriwan across the road) but had a drink each evening - brandy’s extortionate at TB500. Staff pleasant, but nobody in it and felt soulless. Used the pool after a long day sightseeing, and only one in it (4.30). 10 sunbeds, again unused. We only stayed 2 nights before transferring to Laos and it was fine, because it seems to be mainly a transit hotel for transfers to Laos & for seeing the golden triangle, we did hear other guests early, water running, doors slamming etc. Would say a good 3*, if a little tired. …
