First time I have ever written such a negative review. This hotel deserves it. Out of perhaps 50 hotels I have stayed at in the Philippines, Kingstom is at the bottom. This hotel needs a thorough top to bottom clean and rethink. VERY charming and proactively helpful staff. But the rest . . . . Only one overhead lamp in the room. No bedside reading lamps. Pillows the size and hardness of a sack of rice. The bathroom smelled. Just bare walls in the room, only enlivened by one small painting. The music in the lounge area was too loud. Could not nap during the day. Ok, Saturday was band night. But drunken caterwalling, yelling, and cackling for two hours after the band stopped at 11pm? Not acceptable. Huge pile of debris just outside the gate. Junk around the main building entrance. Sloppy, unsightly, makeshift sun screen around guard house. Outside walls mouldy. Dirty around fish pond. Never again! @

Near SM Mall and Lumbia airport, very quiet area, beautiful food, fantastic service, 2 small pools, nice bar area, they have live band on Saturday night and western style barbecue, owner Danny is an Aussie expat so it's an expat hangout, rooms are smallish and basic but clean and everything works. Thanks to all the staff and especially Sir Edward for being so obliging and lovely always. Highly recommended for a quiet stay outside the city CBD.

Great value for the money....the rooms are clean and air conditioned. Staff are friendly and service is great. The meals and selection are more than adequate and quite tasty. There are 2 swimming pools to enjoy and a lovely out door bar. WiFi is available in the rooms however if you have a room in the back of the facility you are out of luck which is basically my only criticism. So far it’s been a pleasant stay.

As always when writing a review, I wish it were possible to rate within given categories. If there were a “Superb Value for Money” category, this place would rate 5+ stars. Does this mean it’s a 5 star hotel? No. It’s not “elegant” but it’s very comfortable, with two pools, excellent, friendly staff, very good food and a great selection of same, reasonable prices and efficiently managed. The rooms are clean, somewhat spare, but with all of the necessities. That is, queen or king size beds, a decent bathroom with showers that work well, and enough amenities to meet all basic needs. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the restaurant cum bar is open from 6 AM to about 10 PM on weekdays. I understand that on the weekends there are live bands and the restaurant stays open until later. I am here for 3-4 nights, and feel I made an excellent choice. This is a place I can and will heartily recommend to friends coming to this city.

My children and I stayed overnight at Kingston Lodge. We got 2 rooms because the family room was unavailable. The room has simple furnishing and comfortable bed. Not bad since the room rates are cheaper than most places to stay in the area. Kingston Lodge has 2 swimming pools safe for children. The compound is safe with nicely kept garden. Wifi connection is strong at the lounge area as well as the restaurant. What made our stay memorable are the very accommodating attendants and servers at their restaurant. The quality of food at their restaurant is high. We all enjoyed their fresh salads and deliciously prepared meat dishes. Their servings are huge and good enough to share. Do not forget to try their fish and chips, Garden Salad, and awesome breakfast dishes. They have quite a number of huge tables for group and family meals. The bar is nicely stocked as well.
