The staff are really helpful. It is a great place to stay with a very nice garden. Always helpful with travel information. If you need anything the owner will take you to where you can get it. It is always nice to have clean white sheets.

I visited Madina Hotel II three times during my stay in Pakistan in February-March 2021 together with two fellow Swedes and we truly enjoyed this place. The secluded garden was super cozy and we had all our meals out there. Superb and kind service and so interesting to hear the owner's stories from the hotel's rich past (and there are photos to prove it!). Makes me smile just writing this :) Thank you for your great hospitality!
PS. Walking distance from the Gilgit airport.

This is a very cosy hotel in Gilgit. I would classify it as mid-range given Pakistani standards. The hotel has a really nice patio/garden where you can relax or have breakfast. The hotel owner is very welcoming and eager to have a conversation with the foreigners. We had a lovely stay here!

Madina Guest House has been an establishment in Gilgit - Baltistan region for over 25 years, a must stop for anyone visiting the region, trekkers, climbers, adventure travellers and so on. The manager/owner Mhdm Yaqoob is largely responsible for the tourism development in the region for all this time and huge resource of information on the region, always honest and sincere. NOT TO MISS !!!

Spend 3 days when I first arrived in Gilgit and another 2 nights when I returned from trekking.
A great hotel. Very clean, safe and hospitable. Run my Mr Yaqoob and his family. He's managed hotels for over 25 years. Great food, Garden, and location.
Not to be confused with his old hotel. The Medina near NLI bazzar. This is his new one, near the airport.
Strongly recommend this place, a home from home.

The facilities are decent. There is hot water, breakfast is fine, there are a variety of bed rooms available. But the real selling point of this hostel is the service. Hosts can easily organise taxis, transport and provide advice for travelling in Pakistan. They drove me to NATCO bus stop to purchase my Chitral ticket and then drove me to the NATCO busstop again the next morning at 0530. Above and beyond

We chose this hotel because we only needed a place to sleep for the night and this had amazing reviews. Their garden was amazing. It had a lot of fruit trees and the environment was very welcoming. The rooms and furniture were really old. The walls were dirty and the paint had peeled away in many places. The fan was in the corner of the roo and not above the beds which made sleeping at might really difficult. They kept us waiting too long for dinner and would not tell us why until it was very late. My baby and I got bitten by bedbugs and the marks still haven't gone away.
I feel they should do some renovations. At least paint the walls and get the furniture polished to make the outlook better. Oh and they should definitely do something about the dim lighting in the dining room.i want to see my food when I'm eating it.

I had stayed for four months in Madina rest house NLI road. I was in Gilgit as an employee of AKHSP. I am not sure this is the same hotel or not. The owner was Mr. YAQOOB a thorough gentleman. His brother Fakher was also there. As it was off season of winters they gave me room for very reasonable rent for few months. I enjoyed their hospitality and stay in this nice place with big garden.
