Hey there. You can take either a van or a bus to Kalaw. Across the street from the hsotel is a guide/booking service that will arrange one for you. You do not need to book way in advance, I did it the day before.

Hi, I'd spend 3-4 days, specially if you are planning on taking a ballon trip as they don't fly when the weather is bad and you may have to postpone the trip. Just in front of Ostello there is a place they rent ebikes for K6000 for the day. No licence is required. The pagodas are everywhere, so it is close to some and no so close to others. Rent an e-bike and you can go everywhere!
