The location is very very good. It has direct border with ancient pagoda area. I mean border, it's open border, you can literally pass over to those ancient pagodas by foot. And then its swimming pool has view those area. So, we can swim there as if we swim in the middle of ancient Bagan pagodas. Try choose room that... More

Kumudara Hotel Bagan is not without some shortcomings. The rooms are unintentionally rustic. The grounds, while well-maintained, are plain. No effort has been made, whatsoever, to make the pool area inviting. The restaurant service is tediously slow. And the food is just okay. However, these shortcomings are negated by some wonderful qualities. The hotel is located on the edge of... More

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Bagan. We had a junior suite room and this was nice. We had a balcony which had a view of the ruins. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom was also good. We did get to use the swimming pool which is small but perfect to use to cool down.... More

This is more of a 2* hotel... it has a swimming pool and overlooks the pagodas and makes quite the sight for sunrise and hot air balloons but is far off from main centre and restaurants and rooms are very old and dated... many of the plug points and lights did not work. No tea/ coffee facility in the rooms..... More

For $45 a night and you get a porch with a partial view of the temple ruins? I will take it! Plus the power stays on while the rest of the town goes dark when the power cuts out. Manager who runs the place is very experienced and incredibly nice.

The approach up a dusty lane to the Kumudra Hotel does not fill you with confidence, but the end of the journey made it worthwhile. The hotel was tranquil, in a lovely setting amongst the temples and we even saw the balloons skimming over the temples in the morning sun, almost close enough to touch!! The accommodation was adequate, the... More

Stayed with two small kids and had a great time. The grounds are lovely, the pool is decent, the rooms are large and clean and the restaurant was good. We visited friends at a different Bagan hotel which was three times the price and far preferred the Kumudara. Overall, great value for money.

Everything is very well with me when I traveled in Bagan and stay in hotel. The room is clear, staffs is professional, the food is good. I think it could be perfect so much if I didn’t have a problem with a staff when I checked out and take a bus. 1. When I want to exchange from my USD... More

This hotel was once (not long ago) a beautiful resort. The location is fabulous. But....... The investment and maintenance in this hotel has been nil. Anything that is broken remains broken. The cleaning is not up to the mark at all. The pool is green and cloudy, the rooms are not clean (observe the mops for confirmation of this), the... More
