The Hotel Umbra Bagan is located at Wet Kyi Inn village, mid-way between Old Bagan and the City Nyaung U. Old Bagan is one of the most significant archeological sites in the world which rose to glory as capital of the First Kingdom of Myanmar in the 11th century. The Hotel Umbra Bagan is closer to major tourist attractions like the famous Shwezi Gon Pagoda and Anandar Temple. The beauty of ancient Bagan can be seen early in the morning and be explored simply from the hotel's doorstep. After guests spend the day biking around pagoda in heat and dust they can enjoy our two swimming pools. Also the Hotel Umbra Bagan offers a pleasant quiet surrounding at night with its 5 acres of beautifully landscaped garden.

I am still sorry for just staying one night in this absolutely lovely hotel. Nice room, lovely pool area, very good food and excellent service. Really would like to come back one day. At dinner time there was also a nice show provided by some young women showing different kind of local dances, really enjoyable.

During business trip I decide to come again with my family to Umbra because of it's beauty and peace. Upscale garden with pool and at night they do gave traditional show. Love to see puppets in the garden and romantic breakfast area as under trees with leaves fall around you. If one word to say how to feel staying at Umbra "Oasis in Bagan". Special thanks to GM, OM and FOM for kind hospitality and excellent service. See you again Umbra.

We stayed 3 nights in the standard and were perfectly satisfied. The staff is very nice and welcoming, the room is clean and very comfortable and the pool os just gorgeous. The breakfast is good and abundant. The location is very convenient to visit the temples, we recommend renting an ebike in one of the places along the road (1 min walking) for visiting and for finding a place for dinner. In general, great value for money.
