This hotel had a great pool, and the rooms were big and clean. However, the rooms were full of mosquitos with no mosquito nets provided - the staff laughed and gave us an empty bottle of bug spray when we asked for something to get rid of the mosquitoes. Moreover, the AC didn’t work properly so the rooms were very warm ( we went during the rainy season so I don’t want to imagine what the hot season would be like). Also, the safe provided in the room was not working, and I got my expensive headphones stolen before I could report the malfunctioning safe. Not impressed guys!

We stayed here for 4 nights. Check-in was smooth and we were able to enter our room at 11am. The breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. We had an evening meal here which was very good. Our room was clean and spacious. The aircon worked well, a comfy bed and hot powerful shower and wifi worked well all the time. A couple of things I really didn't like about this hotel; there aren't any English speaking channels on the tv (although they say they do). The pool and sunbed area is in constant shade all day. This means the pool is freezing and nowhere to sit in the sun. Also the biggest criticism is the dirty looking towels. Note to management...listen to what your guests are saying in the reviews. Throw them dirty old towels away and get some nice new fluffy white ones.

We chose the hotel due to good reviews in Lonely Planet and on Tripadvisor and expect an upper-class hotel with decent standard. We had to change the room due to dirtiness of linen, walls and bathroom twice. Also, the A/C was broken and rumbling away. After the second room change we accepted our fate, only to face a room with considerably dirty linen without warm water. Stay away from the hotel. It seems to have had it’s best days. Shame for the prices they are charging. Had 15$ rooms in Myanmar that were much more immaculate (and friendly) than this establishment.

Stayed here 3 nights while touring in Myanmar Pros Nice (if cold!) pool Good sized rooms Really attractive courtyard with tree/pond Free puppet show nightly and traditional music Food in restaurant generally good Cons No separate seating in room Hotel was quiet when we were there so lacked atmosphere in evening There is nothing to really criticise at this hotel, but nothing that makes you go wow! It is a perfectly fine hotel for what you pay for it

This hotel was very pleasant with large spacious rooms and a nice swimming pool. The design is good and the staff very accommodating and pleasant. The food was ok and it was a haven after dusty days out in Bagan. We also enjoyed the puppet shows in the evenings. I did feel the rooms could have been cleaner and better maintained and what really let them down were the dirty grey towels that looked like they had been washed in the Irrawaddy. The place was fine and we were comfortable but I don’t know if I would go back until they bought some new linens a replaced some of the temperamental appliances.
