It's dirty which is normal for Indonesia but generally that means cheap. Here it is 200-250 IDR , a lot. Second, the breakfast is very small, only one egg. The staff have a bad attitude. Third, I was traveling with 5 Indonesian friends; they served me fruit juice. When my friends asked for some juice they were told that it's... More

It's the cheapest of the town but ... No shower No electricity (so no light) in the toilet Double bed = just two simple beds under the same sheets No pipe under the sink, so all the water fall on your feet No wifi in the room But friendly staff and good breakfast (included)

They have plenty rooms. Serve breakfast, but the coffee wasn't the best as how I grade Toraja coffee. No mosquitos net. They have hot water. They also rent motorcycles and they have tour guides too. I like their dining room with antiques wall decorations.

Clean simple rooms, good breakfast and very nice garden and balcony view. The stuff was very helpful and You will meet many guides in the hall. A relaxing place to start Torajan adventure. Nothing exceptional but it is very cheap. Just be aware of the cocks making noise at 6.00 am. But it is probably the problem all around Rantepao...

Stayed in Wisma Maria 2 nights. Arriving very late the first night all single rooms were occupied but I was offered double room for single room price. Nice room, TV, big bathroom. Next day I moved to single room and was quite disappointed. Price difference was not that huge but the room difference was. Tiny room, tiny bathroom, no TV.... More

The room was very basic and it had clean bedlinen. The bathroom was dirty and had only a bucket and only hot burning water. Staff were unfriendly and unwilling to help with any queries. There were some dirty dogs around the breakfast room trying to get sime food during breakfast.

The homestay is basic to say the least - we had a bucket of cold water for a shower, no toilet seat, no flush on the toilet, unclean bed sheets and many, many ants in the bathroom. You can hear absolutely everything outside the room and either side. We asked the owner about a bus to Makassar at the end... More

Rooms are basic but clean. However what really makes this place so good was the service of the owner John. He is a great guide, speaks English well, and showed us around the south of toraja which was truly beautiful. He also went out of his way to help me retrieve a forgotten item from Makassar, and arranged a good... More

The cheapest rooms are old rooms that aren't maintained. Good breakfast, coffee and tea, tamarillo jam and fresh homemade bread. The good English speaking guides for Toraja usually hangout here. The hotel seems to be popular with Indonesians even on low season. Close to restaurants and the local market, central location.

When we arrived at night from Makassar, they tried to cheat us and the only available room was the most expensive although there were only a few tourist. After a long time discussing, (surprise!) they have another room for 170IDR!!! Finally, we stayed for 6 nights...a really bad and expensive hotel, after 1 year travelling in Asia. The hot water...
