Could not recommend this place highly enough! We were late night guests with no reservations and they treated us like royalty. Lovely room, buffet breakfast included, wifi and great amentities for a very reasonable price! The room was clean, well designed, immaculately presented and very welcome for two very tired travellers! Definitely recommend!
Hotel staff was friendly. Room absolutely ok. But: sleeping impossible. Every evening noise from the place opposite the main road. Every evening! Not normal noise but from speakers like in Munich Allianz Arena. When it got more silent, about 3 to maximum 4 hours sleep. At 3:45!! the MUEZZIN from nearby mosque started his terror. Not 5 or 10 minutes. Nearly one full hour, followed each night by praying visitors. That hotel was our most horrible during years of travel in SE Asia.
Great location, both for bussines and leisure. Right in front of city park. Many cultural events held in the park. So if you a cultural enthusiast this hotel is great for you, but if you prefer more quiet place that wouldnt be happen. Nice simple breakfast. Free tea coffee and traditional snack for 24h. Best people at services.
Highly recommend staying in this hotel if in the area. Right in the center of Blambangan, very convenient location. We only stayed here one night and checked in late but it was a very smooth stay. Nice rooms good pool and facilities, very friendly and helpful staff. Great brekky in the morning.
Clean, cozy, in the middle of Banyuwangi. Moderate price. Theres jogging track across the street. But if you stay on the weekend (saturday mostly), Banyuwangi has pretty much events held near hotel blambangan, would be a lot of people when it happens. Overall, this nice hotel.
Would highly recommend this hotel !! It’s a beautiful place (boutique vibe), central location, very clean & big room plus great shower, super friendly & helpful staff -special thanks to Ilmi & Derma to make us discover the amazing Lembah Ijen festival! We enjoyed the swimming pool & tasteful breakfast. And note that Mount Ijen is not far away! We’ve had a great stay (2 nights) in Banyuwangi, which is a nice lively city. Terima kasih!
This hotel is beautiful and all the employees do their best for you. The room was very clean and the food delicious. We recommanded this hotel which is in the center of the city. Because we stay two nights, we can visit the waterfall and the coffee plantation with them (free) and have some informations about this city. Thanks for everything 😉
We stayed in this hotel for two days. We visited the Ijen crater ( booked the tour in the hotel), iT was perfect, with a very nice, funny guide, who spoke perfectly English. We got a complementary tour because we stayed to night. Vela showed us around, which was a lot of fun. The hotel was clean and lovely. And all the people who worked there were really friendly and helpful. IT was nearby the pasar with nice food and lots of thing to look at. We really would recommend staying jn this great hotel!!!!
Prior to its renovation in 2012, Hotel Blambangan was an old "losmen" (Indonesian style cheap accommodation) owned by local government. The hotel is owned by local government of Banyuwangi, but after the major renovation, it is still a losmen but with an international hotel standard, complete with swimming pool, air conditioning, hot water shower, plus TV with international channel. But losmen still a losmen, and despite of the upgrade it is still a losmen. The service is a bit sluggish (although still satisfactory), the international channel selection are very limited, the breakfast quality is just typical of losmen albeit served in buffet style, and lastly they still use manual key room entrance (which I actually like as I can keep the aircon on while I went out). However, nothing can beat Hotel Blambangan when it came on location as it is smack down in the middle of the town and within walking distance to everywhere around the town, including Boom beach, and next to Blambangan square. Although the central location also have downside as there was a concert in Blambangan square when I stayed there, and the noise could be clearly heard from the room. Overall this hotel offer great value for money.…
What had been the Wisma Blambangan (at which I stayed some two decades ago) has lately been upgraded to a charming little hotel right off the green central square of Banyuwangi. Reasonably priced, the patio room poolside is very comfortable and handsome with basic amenities. It’s also near the 24/7 coffee bar which is useful since there is no coffeemaker in the room. Hearty local breakfast buffet includes omelettes and whole wheat bread. The glass partitions in the darkly-colored bathroom worried a groggy me in the middle of the night. And the wifi is quite iffy. But en route to the ferry to Bali, I am happy to have returned to this location.
