We stayed here for one night to visit Ijen, that was okay. But we wouldn't like to stay here longer. I think we were the only guests and there was nothing else in the area to do. The wooden huts can use some maintanence. In the night they played loud music, but there was nobody.

We slept there for a few hours before heading up to Ijen Crater after midnight. The room was barely tolerable: smells bad, unclean, noise from the road. On the positive side: bug nets over the bed, nice yard, TV, European-style toilet and hot water.

We stayed at Ijen resto just for one night (after climbing Ijen) and that was already a night too much. The room was dirty: hair in the showerdrain, toothpaste on the sink and mirror, and the toilet had not been cleaned. Also, in the morning I was covered in bites, and I'm pretty sure they weren't mosquito bites, so the...

I didn't expect much for the hotel in country side like this. So it turned out to be pretty good for me. The room was spacious but not very clean. Like you could feel some dust but somehow it was acceptable. The bathroom was pretty good. Quite large and clean. In the morning, they offered delicious nasi goreng and tea...

We were given 2 bamboo huts which were pretty rundown. There were mould and fungus growing along the toilet door frame and hot water was intermittent. The room was very dusty and certain areas are full of spider webs. The bed has some unknown stains. We pretty much did not dare to move much throughout the night. There was no...

Like many others, I was going for a hike to Kawah Ijen when I booked this accomodation. Ijen Resto lies about 30-45mins from the starting point of Kawah Ijen so it is about the same distance as Arabica but on the other side of Ijen. The reason I had chosen this accomodation was based on previous reviews which highlighted its...

My friend booked this for our trip so I arrived with no expectations at all for where we were staying. The location is great to going to ijen, and some nice scenery on the way up, rice terraces, plantations, nice sunset. Peaceful location. There is nothing else around and that's a plus as far as we were concerned, quiet, peaceful...

Just visited this place last week, it is quite good actually. The bed is clean, so does the bathroom (there's hotwater in it, with toiletries and towel), the food is quite good, there's wi-fi and more importantly it is close to Paltuding post (starting point to Ijen Crater), which is only 45 minutes by car. I only had a little...

Visited Ijen Resto & Guest House on my trip Ijen Crater. Actually never slept the night here because we had to go to Paltuding outpost at midnight to start our hike to Ijen Crater. The rooms are pretty clean, bathroom also clean with hot water available (sometimes). Their restaurant was also nice though somewhat understaffed. The staff that took our...

We heard good stories about this place, but really, it is not so good. (1) they hardly speak a word of English. Eg., there were no towels in our cottage, but no one could understand the word either. (2) they said there were no cheaper rooms available, but the whole place ended up solely occupied by us. (3) they have...
