Pros Stayed here for 3 nights. At first I was a bit disappointed because the room was small and the bathroom was smaller. But after the first night, it grew on me. Super clean. Hot water works shower super good and spacious enough for me. Everything works. I went there by motorbike. Parking super easy and quite safe. Ibis doesn’t have swimming pool but we can use Novotel’s swimming pool. Which is awesome. Aircon is good. Sheets and towels are clean. Location location location! I love it! Prime location i tell you. Cons It was my birthday during the stay, and looking at other people review being celebrated by a surprise cake i kinda hoped i get the same treatment. But no one came to me. So sad. It was my solo trip. I also noticed there were no hospitality spirit among the staff at the Front Office. It’s like they have lost the spark. Idk what happened but i think you should fix that soon. They seemed not happy. Except for my favorite chubby male staff of housekeeping. He still got that hospitality vibe when facing a guest. I can feel good vibes from him. Overall it was a pleasant stay. I’ll be back for sure! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!…

The hotel was extremely great. Staffs were excellent, room super clean and comfortable. Breakfast had lots of variation. Special thanks to Ms. Dinda from Novotel for taking care of me and my friend. Your hospitality skills was second to none.
I've been to IBIS balikpapan almost a year for business purpose in Balikpapan and never been disappointed by the services from the staffs and the room as well. Room is clean and the staffs respond from the front desk until loundry excellent, food are great My business trip is long stay and always stay in IBIS Balikpapan. Great choice. Myself and work colleagues stay here on a regular basis. The hotel is clean and comfortable and in a central location. The hotel staff are amazing, they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I have just my birthday while in the hotel, and what a nice surprise to have a knock on my room door with staff holding a birthday cake singing happy birthday as I opened the door. I recommend this hotel to all ! A big thank you to Dewi and Liza !
Ibis has a classic room and has a beautiful view outside the hotel. I really enjoy in Ibis Hotel Balikpapan. Ibis hotel is a best advice to vacation or a bussiness. It near to Bekapai Park and Plaza Balikpapan
We stayed several nights at this hotel, spread over a period of about 10 days. For the price we found it good value - especially as we were able to use the swimming pool at the Novatel next door! A buffet breakfast was included, with a good range of hot local and western food, and including cereals, pastries and toast. We stayed in a different room each time - one had dodgy airconditioning, but generally they were acceptable and the beds were comfortable. Housekeeping were great - bought us extra towels and anything else we requested. The location was good - a short walk to the main road and seafront, and to a big shopping centre and mosque.
I have stayed to ibis balikpapan many time because my company choose ibis, for this time not only wifi access is trouble and slow but laundry is very bad, not only me but all of my friend which is different room the laundry is same, VERRY BAD SMELLS like an UNDERARM ODOR. this is our worst experience and we will told to our company. Stayed august 26 - august 27, room 2016.
It was my first but memorable stay in Ibis Balikpapan. My check in and check out process were very fast helped by Ryan and Exel. Then when I entered my smoking room didn't smell at all. The VIP amenities was very beautiful. The room was like any other Ibis. One thing that really impressed me was the staffs response to my requests. They were very polite, helpful and quick. Like when I borrowed sarong and praying mat just came less than 10 minutes delivered by Jumadi. The room service was also good. I like the taste and presentation of oxtail soup. The waiter who delivered my order was also polite. The first night waiter was Rai and for the second night was Hendra who delivered my room service. When I had breakfast the waitress, Cyintia and Tjandra her supervisor also helpful since finding me seat and asked what I want to have. They also helped me chose Ayam Singkawang for my lunch. It was so delicious. They said that was Kalimantan's original taste I had to try. That girl who was in charge as duty manager that evening, Novita was also very polite. She came to me said hi and offered if I wanted to try food stall outside near drop off area. It was like a traditional stall also cheap but delicious. Then finally when I asked for transportation to airport and assistance with my plane ticket Dewi and Zulfa helped me. They came with official issue boarding pass. Maybe because the airline office was in the same building. Feels like five star service from three star hotel. One thing that they need to improve was the internet connection's speed. It was not fast enough like I need. The rest was very good.…
The hotel location is superb, around 15-20 minutes from airport. room is clean, wifi connection slow at 4th floor. *the worst I requested for cable roll to operator due to i check in at twin room the operator said will try to get it then until the staff who bring me extra towel and slipper came to my room he didnt bring it, then i request to him also mention i was already call the operator but until i check out didnt receive any update from them about my request "cable roll"
