This is a wonderful retreat in the most beautiful mountains in India. The Khyber has been successful in capturing the stunning view, beautiful weather and combining it with the lord like hospitality and tasty food The palatial rooms with a balcony with a view, outdoor evenings and the warm swimming pool overlooking the scenic mountains were the cherries on the cake My best moment was to sit in the early morning hours in the giant lobby with the mammoth Venetian window and watch the ice clad mountains glow in front of me. Our trip to Khybar was a truly a incredible one. As described on the hotel’s website “Heaven in Heaven”. The view from the property is simply breathtaking. Along with the property and the location, the service too was top notch. All in all, a memorable stay. A special mention for Miss Nelofer from the hospitality team. Not only did she take really good care of us and personally show us the entire property, she also gave us a lot of information/insights about Gulmarg. Truly an asset to your organisation.

It is rather believed that an empty stomach can lead you no where. Mr Gautam Chauhan made sure that we have the tastiest meals. On special request from my family mr Chauhan and Mr Mishra made delicious deserts, which I must say have still left me finger licking. Mr Mukammil, mr Arif, and Mr Firdos are the quickest when it comes to getting the order on the Table. Despite a hall full of guest the trio made sure that orders reach on table in absolute punctuality and in top order of freshness. The property is very well planned and is a must visit. If you are in for a long and lovely staycation The Khyber Himalayan resort is the place to stay. The property makes sure that you are rejuvenated and fresh for years to come. Staying here and checked in just today day. The air Conditioning is not working in their highest category rooms. The lady at at the reception said its only for heating. Am Amazed at the levels they are going to save some money and charging still so high... Very poor.
Visiting Khyber Gulmarg was one of the most wonderful experience in my life.The hospitality,service,treat everything was upto its mark.Ms Shehnaz front desk manager was amazing , her service and her approach of getting things done was above the par ..truly inspiring.My special thanks to Mr Manzoor Khan and his team for a great work being done towards hassle free customer service.This was my first visit to Khyber and eagerly awaiting for the next..Most beautiful location in laps of Himalayan ranges and very close to Gondola station…Must visit once
Holidaying at Gulmarg and staying at Khyber was on our to-do list for years. It's a dream come true. The entire experience was top class - from making our reservations to our stay, checkout and even some refunds - Mansoor of Front Office was most helpful especially in also supporting a cancellation of my friend's booking....the staff was very very helpful for making our stay truly a dream holiday.The Khyber management gave us a room on the first floor that had an amazing view off the Apharwat snowclad range and top... We had dinner in our room as the balcony is wide and spacious - room' service is prompt... bed linen is world class 600 count linen even better than luxury seven star hotels......bath tub in room has a great view too ..well planned for a resort experience......the breakfast is international standards and well spread out though the dining room you'll find is always packed with guests as this property is mostly 100 percent booked.....the Khyber spa and pool are extremely beautiful and tops of the tops ... a warm sanctuary. Suggest staying in a room on the first floor as it comes with balconies facing the snow side view.... they're a bit expensive but totally worth it. There's no lift to the first floor but it's not a problem as the stairs is easy to negotiate. All wooden alpine style construction smells and feels very nice.....The property is right in the centre of Gulmarg so it's easy to walk down to the gondola ski lifts and for taking a horse ride to the golf course and the temple in the meadows or take a stroll through the small town to the stream.....we wished we could've stayed another day for exploring the place. The GM is a cordial person and is managing the property well. Khyber without double is a dream place and with definitely the finest hotel view.…
We were at Khyber for lunch on 13th May 2022. We were a group of 75 pax and must say the arrangements were amazing. The group really had a great time. And special thanks to the fnb manager Vaibhav and Randhir. The location is beautiful and the lunch was scrumptious. Would definitely love to visit again sometime soon.
We had amazing stay at Khyber and entire staff did great hospitality during our entire stay. Special thanks to Irfan Hussain and his team to take care of every small thing during our stay to make our stay memorable and pleasant. I highly recommend Irfan Hussain and his team.
We stayed for 2 nights from 02/05/22 to 04/05/22. The most shocking thing was cockroach at the buffet table. I immediately reported this to the staff and restaurant manager. Also spoke to GM Mr. Chabbra. They promised that they will look into this and get is pest controlled immediately. This I am sure must have been done by them but to find cockroaches in buffet table for such an expensive high class hotel is unbelievable. The next day my wife stayed home as she was not feeling well. She even skipped her breakfast. She requested housekeeping to clean the room so that she could sleep. Inspite of 3 calls, noone attended the room. At the end at 3 pm she went to reception to complain and then the rooms were cleaned. What I realised was that there is lot of arrogance set in the staff. The Hotel is fully packed for next 6 months. They have increased the rates to crazy levels and still the demand is very high so they do not seem to be bothered about customers. I made a written complaint to the owner from the Hotel but am yet to receive reply. Mr. Gautam, restaurant manager and Mr. Mohammad Rafi Bhat Duty Manger did try their best to pacify us and correct the mistakes. Even GM called my wife but all this after two unpleasant experiences. It was more of a fire fighting after blunders. The best thing for them is to bring new people who are humble. Ideally, they should give the Hotel to someone like Taj to manage. I have been to several Taj luxury properties and nowhere arrogance is seen. If a mistake happens they go all the way to correct it and the system ensures that it is not repeated with other guests. I found many small maintenance issues like balcony handles not fully functional and dustbin covers are not operational which all are due to lack of supervision and the attitude. Well now the good thing. The Hotel is located at beautiful place with very good view. It has heated swimming pool and spa. The gym has lot of Equipments. It is just 5 minute walk from the Gondola. The rooms are spacious. The buffet spread is good (minus the cockroach). They need another restaurant as people have to wait to get place for dinner. I hope my views are taken in right spirit. I usually never criticise publicly but a genuine feedback is a must so that other guests do not suffer.…
