Celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary at Khyber Gulmarg. Memorable indeed. The resort is huge and has the most spectacular views of the Himalayas. Rooms are really good & spacious and the bathrooms are a different world altogether. The famous heated swimming pool was shut due to COVID but that gives a reason to definitely return back next year. Great Staff - especially FIRDOUS at the restaurant is a gem of a person & very proactive. There are numerous seating arrangements around the resort and their Kehwa drink is to die for. But most importantly, when you travel to kashmir in harsh winters, there are many things which requires plan B just incase your original plan deviates due to flights & road disruptions. Heres where the travel agent plays the most important role. Highly recommend HIMALAYAN GLACIER agency Mr. Azharbhai 9205461904. Excellent planning & re-planning after my flights were postponed by 2 days. He took care of rebooking hotels, transfers & most importantly is very fast in arranging alternate options when its urgent. Very prompt response & friendly as well. Overall great experience at KHYBER.. No wonder its packed for the next 2 months.. Keep up the good work guys !!…
This review can be little long. Khyber is a beautiful dream which you will always like to come true. The same thing happened with me. I got lucky to get a room here during my anniversary. But, the starting of my trip was little upsetting. A small issue happened which could had been handled more professionally and in a more sincere manner which is expected from a star hotel like Khyber. But I think sometimes, you take it lightly and think you can get away with it. But I had to let it go and compromise as I didn't want to spoily 4 nights stay here. I had asked the reception that I wanted to meet the General Manager just to share my feelings but that never happened. I don't know what it was, ego or miscommunication Secondly, for two consecutive nights, the hotel has blocked their restaurant "Calabash" for VIPs. This was the place where you can relax and have a great evening time when you have nothing to do in Gulmarg. Just think, guests who had come to stay here for 2 nights had no options to relax anywhere else except the lobby which was packed to the brim. Sorry but it felt like a marketplace there with no service as all the help was busy with the VIPs. This feels wrong when your other restaurant "Nouf" and other facilities like the swimming pool is closed due to covid. Now the good part. The rooms are excellent and brilliant. The people helping you out in the restaurant and other places always have a smile. Special mention to Mr Raees and Mr Firdos who were commendable. The food here is amazing. I think I will have to come back to experience the real Khyber which I have heard and dreamt of. Hopefully things change for the better.. …

We stayed at the resort for 2 nights. Excellent hospitality , special mention to MR.owais for upgrading our room despite running full. We had little difficulty co-ordinating the reservations as they didn’t return calls quickly . But once we arrived we experienced the best of hospitality, excellent views & 5 star service .
Its a very beautiful property with an amazing view..!! Welcoming wd traditional drink..and the lively lobby..!!! And wat all makes it more good, was the staff... very helpful staff..!! The only problem was wd my room bathroom.. pot seat was wobbling..when I called, the staff came and he repaired it. Bt, also informed us that it will again wobble coz its made of wood 🤔. Then, flush was broken and again, I had to call the housekeeping, staff came and repaired it. Then, there was some problem wd the bathtub washer,the water we filled was slowly slowly draining out 🙄 And then, wd the shower area.. hand shower was leaking all the time!!!! We had to called the HK everytime after using the shower..!!! And I won't say the staff didn't help.. they did there best.. however, I was surprised by one of the manager in lobby.. coz , when my husband told him bot the whole senerio, all he said was it is not there mistake its a technical mistake..!! As if we don't know that..🙈🤔 and there was no further help or enquiry from any management behalf!!! U guys really need to work on ur management level staff!!! Atleast some of them...!!…
