Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge really is home of the love birds. You'll find Fisher's Love Birds perching & flying from rooftop to treetops all about. The main lodge was comfortable & open with 2 levels for eating & 2 styles: open veranda or indoor. The food was very good and there was wine, beer & spirits. Breakfast is made to order. My bungalow was very nice and roomy - the bed comfortable. My night was quiet & there is a nice sitting area on the deck out front. The staff was top notch. I highly recommend staying here.
Beautiful place and wonderful people! Amazing photo worthy sunsets from the pool and the upper balcony. The staff was accommodating and very friendly. I’d love to come back. Thank you lake Eysai for the lovely stay!
The hotel is located next to Lake Eyasi, which has virtually no contact with the lake, the lake is largely dried out. The hotel is located in a large area, some of the bungalows are quite far from the main building. The room is spacious and comfortable, but not too equipped, there is no air condition. The bathroom is large, clean and perfectly fit for purpose. The lighting is solved with LED bulbs, which have so little power that you can’t read anything next to them. (Useless brightness lighting is a common problem in hotels in Tanzania.) The hotel has a garden with a swimming pool with excellent, clear and deep water. It is a big mistake that the hotel garden is very neglected, the whole garden is a wild shrubbery. The staff is mainly made up of women - they also carry the packages – they are kind, helpful and friendly. I didn't like, when we started to prepare to leave the room, the cleaning staff at watched us at the next bungalow, when we were finally moving out ... Meals are served in the main building. Dinner and lunch are delicious and varied, the service attentive. Lunch was served in the buffet, and at dinner the waiters carried food around. We had breakfast in the box with us – we had an early program - and it was also tasty. Free Wifi is provided in the main building, the bandwidth is quite large. There was no Wifi in the room, the mobilnet worked. All in all we were in a pleasant hotel where the room, the board met our expectations and the staff were kind and friendly. Not a luxury hotel, but there is no better hotel in this part of Africa. The neglect of the garden are disturbing, which greatly degrades the experience.…
Grounds with stunning views welcomed us after a long journey. The staff us very friendly and facilities are good. The cherry on our cake was a dance performed by the staff of the hotel at the end of dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Lake Eyasi is stunning but in the dry season the lake retreats about a mile from the lodge. This was our least favourite of our six-Lodge safari tour. It isn’t dreasdful but It isn’t special either -design of the lodges lacks character and the fixtures are very random. There is the air of no-one caring - bulbs with no shades, lack of any consistent design other than brown and this also extended to the food. It is a shame as it is a rich agricultural area and is ideally located to do locally grown food in the restaurant. The saving grace is the people who were lovely and went out of their way to help. They need more structure and guidance - there are some stunning places on Lake Eyasi, but this needs a lot of work to compete with them. A new general manager to get his teeth into raising the bar. It does have a nice terrace pool but even this is slightly out of place at the moment.…
