I wondered if Ngorongoro Farmhouse would be as pretty as the online photos, since we went during the dry season and I was not disappointed. Such beautifully landscaped gardens! Our room was lovely with plenty of space and a nice deck overlooking the valley. The food was good and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. I would absolutely return if we ever get back to Tanzania!

This place is a gem. We had only one night here on extensive safari and it did not disappoint. After 7 previous nights of tented camps, this may have offered one of the best showers of my life! Hot water (that lasted a long time) and excellent pressure. Coffee tour and night entertainment were awesome!

We had one of the chalets. It was spacious and comfortable. Having light and water available all the time was a luxury after the tented camps. We especially enjoyed having safe hot and cold water available to drink in our room. The grounds and gardens are beautiful. The pool area looked great although we did not use it. The dining room was lovely and the staff were very welcoming and attentive. The owner of this property and Mara under Canvas understands service and what customers need and want. A great experience.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our honeymoon in the Kanga lodge which offered fantastic views over the farm land. The staff were faultless and couldn’t have done more to make our stay special. We enjoyed delicious fresh food, the majority of which they produce on the farm and found the tour very interesting. Everything was clean and tidy and would certainly recommend this as a great base to explore the surrounding area. Thank you!

We stayed here for 2 nights on the Simba Safari with Ranger Safaris. What a fabulous place. We were greeted with cool face cloths after our dusty journey and given drinks. Luggage all taken care of. Our room was for 3 people and was enormous, huge shower chairs fabulous view. Food and entertainment was outstanding, Everything you could think of to eat and all presented well. Buffet style so very easy to please all tastes. All staff were friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. We had a tour of the farm, which was free. They are completely self sufficient, growing all their own produce fruit veg coffee etc free range chickens. Our guide was Selous, who was a local young man volunteering for free to improve his English, hoping to go onto college to better himself and earn a few dollars in tips. He was great and he kept apologizing for his poor English, which we assured him was nothing to worry about, it was certainly far better than our Swahili. It was a little chilly at night so on our first night there what a lovely surprise to find that not only had our room been sprayed for mosquitoes and our nets lowered, but we also had a hot water bottle placed in our beds complete with animal print furry cover...how lovely just a little added touch. Would not hesitate to recommend a stay at this hotel...excellent
