We stayed 2 nights here. The hotel overlooks the crater and the views could not be more spectacular. The meals were good. The coffee was surprisingly weak and rather tasteless although this country is famous for its coffee. The desserts were not especially appealing. But we enjoyed the main dishes very much -- fresh, well prepared, and plentiful. We took...

The Crater itself: In my opinion, skip the Ngorongoro Crater. If you would simply just like to "check-off" your list all the 5 five in one day, then this might be your place. But it's not for me. This was the last park of our trip after visiting Samburu, Masai Mara, and the Serengeti. Upon arriving, we were one of...

The beautiful lodge offers panoramic views of the crater with a breathtaking sunrise as the mists come in over the rim to flow down like a waterfall. The rooms were spotless and quite well appointed. There is a lovely common area for coffee or tea and a bar area to gather and chat about the glories of the day. The...

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of our safari holiday. What can I say the views were breath taking, the hotel and the staff were good with large rooms which offered welcome comfort after a long day with travel and game drives. The restaurant offers a buffet service which is ok for a couple of days but for...

We stayed two nights at the Ngorongoro Sopa. What a lovely location... gorgeous unobstructed sunsets every evening. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a large, older hotel. Although it was built in 1992, it looks like it is older. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Food was okay --- standard buffet fare. Location close to the access roads...

The hotel is great, but you expect more than great when you pay so much. The bar was beautiful, the sunset amazing and the rooms huge and comfortable, but the food wasn't quite there. After three days in the hotel we felt we were eating the same thing over and over. No other complaints though.

We were surprised to arrive to such a large hotel and complex after spending the day on a safari drive in the Ngorongoro Crater National Park. While it wasn't as quaint and homey as the other lodges and camps we stayed at during our safari adventure, it was nice to have one night of amenities that only a big hotel...

Stayed here after a long day of safari tour in Ngorongoro crater. We stayed at the bottom floor which was a mistake. The footstep stumping and running water/toilet flushing kept us awaken all night. Pros: - good location near the Ngorongoro entrance and a fantastic view of the crater from the lobby. -friendly and helpful staff - no Mosquitos here...
