I have just one word for this place...FABULOUS and FABULOUS. A must visit. From reception to the day we left we were in a lap of luxury. The service, politeness of the staff, swift and minute attention to our needs.....no complaints here! Food was excellent too. Just book with your eyes closed! Thank you all for this spectacular stay!
This lodge has the grounds and atmosphere of an upscale Hawaiian resort, but is near the entrance to Ngorongoro National Park! Ngorongoro caldera is where we saw lions relaxing after a kill with jackets waiting along the periphery, hippos, herds of impala, wildebeests, gazelles, and elands; and a serval cat, hyenas, jackets, crowned cranes, and so much more! The view from the rim is amazing, the floor of the caldera 2000' below the rim is home to year round African animal residents.
Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge has been here before proceeding safari to Crater. Accommodation – Big Individual suite room living room with sofa couches and a day bed. bedroom with a king-size bed, day bed, and sofa just feel like our own farmhouse in the bush. Both rooms have a wood fireplace. Tea coffee in-room fresh coffee beans ground from the farm. Hot water bottle on the bed at turndown service. Food – Superb enough choice and can always ask what you want will fulfill the requirement. Have visited an organic farm and fresh vegetables were cooked for us at the dinner time. They do even have their own chicken farm for eggs and staff collect every morning for breakfast. Nice Spa with forest view. We asked for an evening bone fire at the pool and it was organized well with wine before going for dinner. Manager Rakesh & Reception Martina will attend to you and make everything possible. We wish it could be staying more in this heaven.…
A couple of weeks ago our extended family of nine had the pleasure of staying at the Neptune Lodge in the middle of our safari. We had four rooms, each equally beautiful. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and have wonderful views. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous! Our group really enjoyed relaxing by the pool in the late afternoons after our game drives. The spa was lovely as well. The food was delicious and the chef was very accommodating to our vegan and vegetarian family members. Most notable was the incredible staff who were not only extremely attentive but also so much fun! We highly recommend visiting the Neptune if you have the opportunity!
We had the opportunity to stay at Neptune Lodge before we started our safari. This lodge was far beyond our expectations. From the location of the lodge, the accommodations and the hospitality made our stay phenomenal. We were so happy our travel agent booked us rooms here!
We stayed in Room 18 for two wonderful nights. The view was spectacular from our balcony. The entire property is gorgeous and very well tended - lots of amazing flowers, trees, and plants which attract beautiful birds. Our room was almost beyond belief - it was larger than some apartments I lived in. We had two large rooms, each with its own fireplace, and a big bathroom. The beds were quite comfortable with hot water bottles in the bed at turn down time. The staff also put fresh flowers in the room each day. The property is not fenced so staff escorts you to and from your room when it is dark. The food was delicious and very plentiful. You certainly won't go hungry here. The Lodge grows much of its own produce and one afternoon Devota gave us a tour of the vegetable garden and the hothouse which was quite interesting. The staff here is very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The reception staff loaned us an adapter as one of ours was broken. Special thanks to Auness, Fabian, Devota, and Lucas for a lovely stay.…
A perfect retreat at a most amazing location , tranquil and beautiful. The rooms are to die for so specious and luxurious. all the staff are just as lovely as can be. Food was great too. I recommend using the laundry service.
Was an absolutely beautiful visit to Neptune. Joseph, Adam, and the rest of the staff were incredible. They treated us like family. The resort is very serene and peaceful to say the least. It is very modern and well equipped. Attention to every detail has been taken. We were in lodge 13 which was a great view. I would suggest possibly number 16 which is at the bottom of the stairs. Right from the room we were able to see wildlife. One special treat was the double fireplace in the room as it did get a little chilly at night. The room was impeccable and kept that way by staff. Meals were also excellent, especially a local white fish they cooked one night which was arguably one of the best fish dishes I have eaten. Additionally, Joseph, the waiter, was excellent. He even gave us a tour of their garden and fruit trees to show us where they get everything, as they are fairly self sustaining. A couple of tips if you are going to the Crater. Do not do the multiple flights through Arusha and Kilimanjaro. They are expensive and unnecessary. If you must do one, simply fly to Kilimanjaro and pay the extra $70 USD to be picked up and driven from there. It actually is just as fast and cheaper to be driven from Nairobi International to the crater/resorts and a lot, lot less headache. Timewise, it is about the same amount of time or possibly shorter. I say this because you fly out of Wilson airport which is an hour drive from Jomo (Nairobi) as traffic is bad. From there, you fly on a white knuckle flight to Kilimanjaro that is overpriced (prop plane that is very small). You get on an even smaller plane that looks to be about 40 years old to then fly ten minutes to Arusha which is a waste of money. There, you land in the middle of nowhere with no airport and walk about a half mile carrying your luggage to meet your driver. Or, you can simply hop in your drivers car at Jomo and spend about 4-5 hours driving to Arusha in the comfort of your own car, no luggage struggles, no headache. We have plans to come back to Neptune. It was more than what we could hope for. We cannot say enough good things about it. If you do go and take a tour, ask for Baracka to be your guide, one of the funnest people you will meet. Also, see if you can get Isaac to be your driver from the airport. He is very knowledgeable on the area, has great tips on things to see. The hotel is good for adults, families, even young children. it is very safe as it is protected by electrical fence to keep the predators out while still allowing you to view the wildlife from a distance. It is also a great spot for a destination wedding or even a honeymoon. This place covers all the bases. Only thing I could suggest is if the hotel had a small snack market with incidentals in it for guests to purchase. My wife lost her hairbrush and the hotel did not have anything like that, aspirin, Pepto, any kind of snacks, etc. to purchase. Not necessarily a big deal but a couple of local candy bars, mints or chips might be nice now and again as a guest. Thank you again for a great trip.…
I was at Neptune for two nights as part of a package tour through Kenya and Tanzania. Not only was it the best place I stayed on this tour; it was the best place I have ever stayed. Everything from the room accomodations to the food to the overall hospitality of the entire staff. The location is amazing, as were the views from the rooms and the lodge itself. I would love to return to this lodge anytime.
Spent the weekend here with family; we were very warmly received and had a great stay! Slept very well! Lovely spacious cottage with a great view. Friendly staff, delicious Food and service was great! Loved the breads and salads! Thank you!
