The Tortilis Camp was the best on our safari for service and friendliness. The food was good and the staff charming. The slight disadvantages were the remoteness from the Crater and the cold (although hot water bottles were provided and most welcome!)

Thank you, you are our 100th reviewer since our camp opened! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. It can be cold up here in the highlands, so we always advise visitors to have some warm clothes - maybe not what they expect in Tanzania! We are not situated right at the crater, but we are in Maasai lands and our visitors enjoy learning all about their culture. Thanks for choosing us! Kind regards, The Team at Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp

The "comfort style" accommodations were much more than just comfortable. The setting was beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was very good. We enjoyed sitting around the fire before dinner. It was cool at night but the "bush babies" kept us warm.

Thank you! We are indeed in Maasai country here, a big part of our culture here in Tanzania. It is cold here, but we look after all our guests and provide hot water bottles (bush babies). Glad to hear that you may come back, Kind regards The Team at Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp

We went on a safari around Tanzania for a week and stayed at 3 Tortillis camps. They were all fantastic, very consistent and the staff are incredible. This camp was in a stunning setting, very lush and unlike the Serengeti and Lake Manyara. It gets very chilly at night and in
