It was fine... the atmosphere was ok.... the room was about average just as you'd expect from any sort of hotel... the beds were not great.... they were very uncomfortable... the food though... it was really good.

I stay at Kitolie every time I come to Moshi. It is a place I feel at home. The rooms are comfortable, the location is quiet, and there is plenty of room to relax. Since I usually arrive here after a long day of traveling it is much appreciated.

We stayed for 12 nights at Kitolie House in Shanty Town. The swanky area is far enough from the city to get some peace and close enough for daily visits to Moshi. The manager Bob is friendly and pleasant and joyfully sings to Marley's reggae songs for most of the day, sometimes inviting his musician friends, creating a great Jamaican atmosphere (literally and figuratively). Internet connection is up to Tanzanian standards: intermittent and desperately slow, which helps to ease you into the pole pole (slowly slowly) local lifestyle.

Kitolie is a simple friendly place to stay just outside the centre of Moshi. The rooms are spacious and clean. Bob and his family are very helpful. It’s a perfect base for KCMC hospital. Really nice to be able to use the kitchen if you don’t fancy one of the lovely nearby restaurants. Looking forward to returning next year.

I stayed at Kitolie for 6 weeks. We were really well looked after by Bob and his family. They were very accommodating for our group coming and going and having breakfast at different times. My room was simple but clean, and I had a hot shower. It was very homely for a long stay in Moshi, and very easy to get a ride into town when required. Free wifi is available in the communal sitting room. Thank you for a great stay!
