On the food of the Kilimanjaro you will find a place with very friendly people, nice room and very good restaurant with delicious food in de most beautiful garden. The B&B and restaurant empower young women to develop themselves for a brighter future (in tourism). Stayed here with my girlfriend before and after climbing Kilimanjaro. Highly recommended!

We have just returned to the U.K. after spending 2.5 months in Tanzania working with a local social enterprise based in Moshi, providing computer equipment to government schools. We have done this project work for the last 10 years and have stayed at More Than A Drop during the last 4 trips. This year we used Moshi as our base, staying at More Than A Drop for a total of 25 nights in between travelling to other areas of Tanzania. We stayed in the largest en-suite room which is upstairs in the main house. This room is very spacious, has a good shower and gave us plenty of room to spread out. We ate breakfast every morning which consisted of fruit salad, fruit juice, granola, eggs, bread and jam, tea and coffee. Sometime there were pancakes which were very nice. We also ate dinner here on quite a few occasions and the food was excellent. The restaurant is vegetarian and offers a small selection of starters, soups, and main courses. There is usually a desert available as well. The pasta is particularly good. Front of house and the restaurant is managed by Millie, assisted by Neema. They do an excellent job of making sure the whole place runs smoothly. They were always around, always very helpful, and have now become our friends. Mama Ngina managed the house keeping and was also lovely. We miss them all. More Than A Drop is also a Hospitality School, offering a year long course in all aspects of hospitality, to young girls who have not managed to complete their school education. The girls live on site and help out with all aspects of the B&B and restaurant as part of their training. They were always really friendly, helpful and keen to learn. Their presence really adds to the overall ambiance of the place. It is also great that as a guest staying or eating at More Than A Drop you are contributing to this project. We have also had the pleasure of meeting Gianluigi and Nic who own the project on several of our stays and love their passion and enthusiasm.....they are doing a great job. Thanks again to Millie, Neema, Mama and all the girls for looking after us and making our time at More Than A Drop so enjoyable, we will be back.

More than A Drop is not a "traditional" hotel. This is a charitable hospitality school for underprivileged girls. The few rooms are there for guests but really as an opportunity for the girls to practice and deliver their learning in hospitality. That said - this does not mean the service suffers at all. We had an amazing experience. They were more professional than most of the hotels we stayed at in Tanzania. The food is absolutely to die for (vegan). The rooms are quaint (some rooms you share a bathroom and toilet with other rooms - but not many and they are always kept clean) Don't hesitate to stay here, the staff are amazing, the girls are excellent at what they do, the gardens are lovely, and the view of Kilimanjaro as you sit outside and have breakfast is the best!

This is a great place to stay. The staff speak good English (useful to those of us with no Swahili), they are kind and competent, and the grounds are safe and beautiful. The picture showing the view of Mount Kilimanjaro is the actual view you'll get on the patio every morning. More Than a Drop also serves as a "hospitality school" for girls to learn skills that help them to get a job in the tourist industry, so you'll be doing a bit of good by staying there, as well. I stayed there for ten days or so, and would go back in a heartbeat.

I stayed here my first 3 nights . I loved the idea of the place more than The place itself . Quaint spot It was a bit hot in the room for me as I am elderly and need a bit more comfort . No one was here as it’s Covid time . Nice garden area - very high carb breakfast - Thermos with hot water for tea and coffee
