We stayed there before and after our Kili trip and it really was a pleasant stay. The pool area is nice, the restaurant serves great food. Rooms are not big but clean and nice. Can recommend it to anyone.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I stayed here as part of a group. I wouldn't stay here if I was travelling on my own and interested in meeting other people. It's very quiet and away from any central area. It's close to the starting point of kilimanjaro which was very helpful for me.

This hotel is on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. Quiet and relaxing with a pool and grounds that are meticulously maintained. If you have ever been to Moshi,Kilimanjaro,Tanzania you know and if you haven't, you will find out. Tanzania time and pace of life is very different than what we are used to in the west. I spent two nights at Protea Hotel Aishi Machame to get away from the crowds and pollution of Dar es Salaam, where I was living on an expat assignment. The hotel delivered everything I was looking for as a getaway. The room, while basic, was clean and comfortable, the grounds were well kept, the staff was helpful, and the surrounding... More

This hotel is a gorgeous hotel on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. Quiet and relaxing with a newly renovated pool and grounds that are meticulously maintained. The only "negative" would be the wait for food. If you have ever been to Tanzania you know and if you havent, you will find out. Tanzania time and pace of life is very different... More

Unfortunately, I had to stay at Protea Aishi Machame for five nights. I wish I hadn't. Upon arrival, I asked for the internet code, which for the five days/nights didn't work. Whilst I was on a business trip, I was barely able to send any emails. The gym was under maintenance until mid-June. Moreover, my shower had cockroaches in it... More

We chose this hotel due to its close proximity to Mount Kilimanjaro which we intended to climb. We had a deadline to leave the hotel at 7.30 am in readiness to the mountain climb. However we were delayed due to problems with water in the shower which turned scalding hot randomly whilst in use. The same problem of water temperature... More

Stayed here for 1 night prior and 2 nights post Kilimanjaro trek with our group. The hotel is in a good location away from the hustle/bustle of Moshi & Arusha. The hotel staff are friendly, however the hotel has seen better days. The rooms & facilities (pool, ablutions, dining, bar) are v dated and tired. We had the same room... More

When you walk in, your greeted by a fresh glass of hibiscus juice and a cool towel. It's a nice welcome and sets the standard for the hotel. The rooms are clean, have safes in the rooms and hair dryers and TVs. It has a pool and a nice bar area. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty with eggs/pancake cooked... More
