I stayed at Hibiscus for one night with a group enroute to Dar es Salaam. We arrived late and the staff welcomed us warmly. The motel is cute and homely. We requested a meal and they prepared one. The food was average, but probably due to the late evening. The manager got our room requirements wrong and that lead to...

I spent 7 weeks at Hibiscus and it was really lovely. They do an excellent breakfast included in the price (the pancakes are great) and the rooms were all clean and had en suites! Hot water was a bit temperamental but that was no big deal. The internet was pretty reasonable for Moshi also. It's about 15minutes walk out of...

We stayed at the Hibiscus because our Safari guide recommended it and it was perfect for us. We were looking for a place that would fit our budget and we only needed to stay one night, then go on a safari, and say one more night when we got back before we headed to Zanzibar. Our room had a nice...

When I first turned up here I wasn't too happy as it is down a residential street which looked like it had no street lights, however I want to make clear that it is a great place to stay because wherever you are in moshi you have to get a taxi after dark anyway. This place was clean and we...

The hibiscus is a nice, quiet and relaxed b&b. Beds are fine, rooms are clean. Our shower had no hot water, but that didn't matter because of the temperature outside. Nice garden, good wifi (for Tanzania) and affordable drinks.

We were received well. We loved the homely atmosphere. However everything after that was bad....bad...bad... The beddings and mosquito net were NOT clean AT ALL and smelt really really bad. The bed only had a mattress cover and smelly duvet....no top sheet! The pillows were DIRTY! Breakfast was completely below average even for a low cost motel. The fruit may...

Quiet area....can sleep well....but some days the nearby disco will blast loud music late into the night, then we wont have good sleep. Good budget sleeping location in Moshi for the trekkers, easy to get to the town and mainroad by taxi. Will recommend to others. Only draw back is the loud music from nearby, which is out of their...

I stayed here for 7 days. I enjoyed the facility. Room #7 upstairs and Room #5 downstairs were nice, quiet and clean. The beds were large firm and comfortable. The water in the shower was nice and hot. The patio is a nice touch of indoor and outdoor living. The staff seems to work hard and are very good. Jackie,...

Positives: friendly and helpful Tanzanian staff. Tasteful decor, relaxing garden atmosphere, good breakfast, felt safe. Cons: outside city center, spotty weak wifi (though free), no hot water and small basic bathroom, loud bumping music from nearby even though was outside city center. Do not go here if you are looking to meet people or be very comfortable. It is just...

Situated in a calm neighborhood, still walking distance to center of Moshi (but not at night, apparently it's dangerous to walk between the guesthouse and the city center at night - take a taxi!). The terrace and garden was very pleasant. There was no hot water on our bathroom, but staff let us use the shower of a free room....
