This year alone(2016) i have taken over 150 guest at different times at this hotel and out of 150 i only heard complains from less than 15 guest. Hence i can confirm this is good hotel to rest while in Moshi Town, and if you are looking for a perfect view of Kilimanjaro, then this is the place to be.

This is the ideal place to spend the night if you are in moshi either for Kilimanjaro climb or those crazy East Africa Road trips. I was here for the latter, accommodation is good, clean sheets, hot water and plenty of it. The dinner was not too good but it was enough. What i didn't like is the veneration in... More

Personally, I stayed there one night before and after my Kilimanjaro climb. We paid 20 USD per person, and got a roof and a bed for that, which was enough for us at the time. Pros: - Excellent location (supermarkets, bars, souvenir shops and the main street are right around the corner) Cons - Hygiene could be improved (towels were... More

I would have given this hotel a much better review, but I left after my first night to find another place. The ultimate reason was that the breakfast was basically non existent. My toilet was also leaking even before I got there. Otherwise, zebra provided a decent value with air conditioning, tv and Internet in the lobby.

The most dangerous place to sleep. On the night of 20th Jan 2006 they fumigated the ground floor at night while guests were asleep. We choked on the forth floor when the dust rose through the staircase. So guests on 4th floor went to the balcony as the hallway and stairs were filled with chemical dust. The staff made no... More

The Zebra Hotel is actually one of the nicer structures in Moshi. I stayed a total of four nights, two on either end of my Kilimanjaro climb. It's a reasonably modern building that presents well and although it's basic, it is centrally located and reasonably priced ($25USD for a single room). The employees were friendly and the food at the... More

My friends and I stayed at Zebra Hotel for two nights during our Safari trip. We were being split into four rooms, and for the first night, I was given room 414 on the fourth floor. When we went into this room at a corner, it felt dusty, as if no one as stayed there for a long time already.... More

I'll start with the lobby. There is a massive concrete tree and massive concrete pile of rocks that greet you when you walk in. Other than these two strange and random decorations the lobby is nice and clean. I got the feeling the hotel was trying to be upscale, but it isn't. The Negative: -The hotel standards change when management... More

Ok hotel for the price (35$ double room 2015) but noisy. Also, don't look to carefully in your room, it looks clean but well...just don't scratch the surface. Good breakfast and nice staff once you charmed your way in. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
