If you are coming to Moshi to climb Kilimanjaro, then Keys is better than a backpackers hotel. Has all basic facilities. Weak Air-conditioning and no ceiling fan. Bring your own shampoo. No elevator. Guess you don't need one if you are climbing Kili. No tea or coffee in room. My room fridge didn't work. Reasonably-priced Restaurant closes at 2230 hrs.... More

The room we had was basic, aircon didn't work and the bathroom flooded with shower use. We bought drink bottles from the shop and 1 of them leaked and the other was second hand! The food was good, staff very helpful and we had very good service with our laundry and storing our gear while we trekked. Our Kili climb... More

Convenient spot to stay before you start your trek. Rooms were fine (we stayed in the huts) although the hut layouts were a bit weird inside. Basic but clean. The hot water didn't work for my husband but it did for me. The wifi signal wasn't very good but other places we stayed didn't even have wifi. The main waitress... More

My stay at Keys Hotel was arranged by the tour company that I booked my Kilimanjaro trek with and stayed there for one night before and one night after my trek. It seems to be a popular base for trekkers as I saw many of the other guests at Machame Gate the next day. Rooms: I stayed in the huts... More

Just on the edge of Moshi town (20 minute easy walk) and on Uru Road 200 yards from the YMCA and the Water is Life roundabout, Keys Hotel is a great base of operations for a stay in Moshi (I was here for 12 nights over three weeks). Clean basic rooms with great beds, nets, AC, fan, and very functional... More

I stayed in the Keys Hotel as part of a package for Kilimanjaro trek . Its well located (20 minutes stroll from Moshi town). There is a nice pool area for relaxing also a calm seating area at front part of hotel. WiFi is not in the rooms but pretty good signal downstairs. I had a room in the main... More

Overall the rooms were comfortable and had all of the basics, the hot water was very good, there was a nice clean pool, the security was good, the food was nice and the staff were all very friendly. However at times the staff could be very unorganised, at times I think this was due to misunderstandings through language. I stayed... More

If you are looking for a hotel with reasonable prices, secure facilities whilst you hike up Kilimanjaro; then Keys Hotel is perfect. The staff is very friendly and accommodating of guest requests. The rooms are clean, though the plumbing needs an upgrade.
