The place is basic, clean and people are friendly. Food isn't bad either. It is located about 20 min walk to Moshi town. However, I almost didn't sleep: the isolation of the room wasn't great at all and I could hear dogs barking, people walking, talking and laughing etc. I could hear everything basically... I initially planned on staying two...

No people there. I have stayed here for years and enjoyed meeting people from all over the world, but there were none. They put tvs in all of the rooms which I don't think is necessary for what they offer. And they put in a public bar... Which ruins the atmosphere. The only thing good was Lydia, Glady, and Julius....

If you are in a budget or a volunteer, this is the best place Moshi has to offer. For people staying longer than 2 weeks there is an available kitchen and refrigerator. The staff is awesome and fun, but you have to initiate the friendships. Private sit down toilets and hot showers in every room provided Moshi has electricity. They...

Good stuff: quiet, with a nice view to Kilimanjaro from their yard on a beautiful day. Food is ok, Rooms are a bit stuffy and so far each time full of mosquitos, but they have spray so u can spray the room and return later. A bit out of Moshi, but as far as i remember they have free transport...

I love it here. It is difficult to believe the negative comments about Twiga Home. Perhaps other guests here expected luxury, but this is a hostel in a third world country, not the Bellagio in Las Vegas! Yes, there are problems with electricity, but that is how it is in all of Tanzania due to blackouts brought on by Tenasco,...

I stayed here for 4 days in Feb 2015. They are cheap ,but you get what you pay for, not so clean rooms and not so friendly staff. The location is also far from the town, however they do provide shuttle service to town, but the timing of the service is not consistent. I also purchased Safari trips from them,...

It was just an okay hostel. It was a little far from town- I still walked and enjoyed it but it took probably about 20 min. The food was a little over priced. And it was a little too noisy... there was some construction going on and some dogs barking. The beds were fine but I couldn't get any hot...

This hotel/hostel is located about 2 miles from the centre of Moshi town and offers (weather permitting) good views of both Kilimanjaro's peaks from just outside the hotel. As it is a little outside the town, breakfast, lunch and dinner can be prepared for the guests at an affordable price.

The rooms here are nice. The staff are mostly nice too. But this place is an absolute shambles. I don't know how they turn a profit. As friendly as the staff are, no-one seems to have any idea what's going on here. It's in a bad location too, there's nothing around, you need a cab to town. I'm not fussy,...

We were here for a couple of days. It's a nice place at a reasonable price. On a clear day you can see mount Kilimanjaro from there. I liked the rooms. We had a self sustaining room with hot water. The place is not really in town, just a 5 to 10min taxi ride out of town, so not super...
