Just a 2-hour drive from #Arusha located in the west of Kilimanjaro. The classic tented safari accommodation in a soothing, solitude, and spectacular comfort, with only the canvas walls of your tent separating you from the wonders of the Ndarakwai ranch. Enjoying the ultimate luxury lodge offers private game drives in an open vehicle offering a magical 360° view of the ranch, walking safaris which is not only a great experience but the best which allows you to get close and personal with wildlife, sundowner driver at the Ndarakwai hill where you will experience a sunset overlooking the majestic Mt. Meru and my most favorite a night game drive which is a rush of excitement with the velvet night sky and higher chances of spotting animals in the element. During my stay at Ndarakwai, the staff took all the safety measures and as helpful with smiles on their faces along from the warm welcome to the sad goodbye.…
This camp has seen better days. The restaurant and lounge huts badly need a redo of furniture/cushions. Could use a fresh paint job as well. The food is so so and beware ordering a drink. I was charged $12 for a vodka tonic (no name vodka). There is a generator that runs all night and disturbs your sleep. As previously noted monkeys will invade your tent, take care.
Enjoyed our two night stay. The tents included a wooden floor, running water, and lighting (although no electrical outlets). The food was actually very good, and the views of the wildlife in the park where superb. The monkeys will, however, get into your tent when you are not in it, so be sure to put any food in your (provided) locker.
We stayed at Ndarakwai Ranch Camp for 2 nights after climbing the Kilimanjaro on the Lemosho Route. We loved the place and its personalized service. The property is very quiet and it provides the right environment of you want to spend a couple of days relaxing while still enjoying the beauty of Tanzania. The 11.000 acre land is populated with zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, as well as other smaller game. Walks and drives with an experienced guide are arranged at your own pace and schedule. Truly an amazing option, also considering the luxury of the tended villas and delicious fresh food! Highly recommended!
We stayed there for just one night, but really enjoyed our time at Ndarakwai. While the lodge could perhaps be placed with a better view, it was very nice, clean, cozy and with excellent staff. Lots of animals came to visit, such as monkeys, bushbuck and banded mongooses. The tents were luxurious with comfortable beds and good showers. The food was good, but nothing special. We went for a couple of drives around the camp and saw plenty of zebra, impala, Eland and warthog. Would not recommend if it's your first time coming to see East African game, but if you just want a relaxing time in a really nice lodge with beautiful landscape this is the place :)
