We have been here for just 1 night. Very nice rooms, spacy, large beds with good musquito nets. Bathrooms (to be modernized) with excellent hot shower. In crowded area very close to dala-dala/bus station. Restaurant quite basic with staff who did their job, nothing more. Breakfast very basic. Menu OK, both European and local Tanzanian.

We used the Bristol Cottages for our stay both before and after hiking Kilimanjaro. The rooms are average. Rooms in the main building back up against a busy street and are quite noisy - making it hard to get a good night's sleep. After our hike we stayed in rooms that were not in the main building and they were... More

Stayed for 2 nights in April 2016 during an official trip to Moshi. The rooms are clean and can be called a 3 star as per the standards in Tanzania. The owner was very hospitable and gave us suggestions for traveling around Moshi. Breakfast was good though the choice is limited. They close the restaurant pretty early in the night... More

The room was ordinary but reasonably spacious and spotlessly clean, with a good bathroom. The garden is lovely, a calm oasis in a busy town. The restaurant is good, a pleasant place to eat or snack. They will also pack a breakfast or lunch to take trekking or touring. The staff is cheerful, helpful, and conscientious. There are occasional power... More

Stayed here two nights before and one night after a very successful Kilimanjaro climb. Room 2 was spacious, basic, and very clean. Shower was great - lots of pressure and hot water. We stayed here for one night at the start of our wildlife tour of Northern Tanzania. We arrived late in the evening but were quickly shown to our room on the second floor. Our room was enormous with two large single beds pushed together with a large mosquito net over. The bed was comfy but we had a bad nights... More

Stayed here the night before and after our Kilimanjaro climb. Basic but nice enough hotel. Clean, which is the main thing, one bottle of water a day provided. the TV did not work and the wifi was intermittent. A court yard area available to sit in during the day. As mentioned on many of the other reviews the food took... More

This is a pretty friendly and convenient spot. A courtyard with small garden. It does suffer from being a little noisy; I don't just mean a couple lads who were on the Jäger until 5am! There is traffic, street noise and a nearby early call to worship. Watch out for the aircon. The buckets may overflow from your own or... More

I stayed at Bristol Cottages before and after my Kilimanjaro climb, as part of the tour package I chose. Personally I would't stay there because it's too expensive for what I am willing to pay. But I must admit, despite of or maybe thanks to the price, it's a very nice place. I had a very spacious twin room with... More
