we stayed at Wonders in between our Kili trek and Safari, and on both ends of our Tanzania vacations. They were excellent. The rooms are nice and spacious, with good A/C and convenient bathrooms; the top floor bar is very enjoyable, and extraordinary views of the mountain. what a spot for evening drinks watching the sunset! we had lunch and dinner at the hotel several times and the food was always excellent. It does take time to be served, seems it is cooked on demand, so dont try to eat in a rush, it is worth appreciating the freshly cooked meals. All staff are friendly, welcoming, attentive. Highly recommended
We stayed here for a couple of nights prior to climbing Kilimanjaro, stayed again for 2 nights afterwords, then one more night after returning from safari. It’s a lovely hotel, great facilities. Nice bars and restaurants and very friendly staff. The only thing which ruined our experience was my expensive sunglasses “going missing” after my safari guide handed them into reception. Yes, my fault for leaving them on the table in the reception area, but my guide handed them in and told them they were mine but nobody phoned the room to tell me. When I asked later at reception if they had been handed in the staff said no. They checked with other members of staff too but nobody seemed to know anything about it. Disappointing! The only other issue we faced was VERY loud music from a wedding taking place at the hotel. I had to get up at 5am but couldn’t sleep because it was so loud. It was eventually switched off at 6 minutes past midnight. I think maybe a room at the back of the hotel would be better if there is a wedding on and you have an early flight.…
I stayed here at the beginning and ending of my trip to Kilimanjaro and found it to be clean, comfortable, quiet (even with the bustle outside and the weekend music at night) and well-run. The breakfast was delicious, as were the food offerings throughout the day. I had no issues with hot water running out in my shower, even after a 45 min shower following the completion of my Kili hike. The water stayed almost too hot. Hotel seems close to shops and food offerings and the location seemed safe. Would stay here again.
I stayed twice at the Kilimanjaro Wonders Hotel in July 2022, bookending my Kilimanjaro Trek for three nights before and one night after. Kili Wonders is a well-appointed Hotel in Moshi, with all the modern conveniences, furnishings, and toiletries in the rooms, and tasteful modern decor in the common areas and rooms. The Hotel is centrally located, a 5-10 minute taxi ride from Moshi town as well as from several very nice restaurants. There’s also a restaurant at the Hotel where I dined on my arrival night, but preferred the ones in town for subsequent dinners. The staff at front desk were generally helpful, although I found the service to vary among the staff. A special shout-out to Josephine, who consistently provided great service with a smile. A couple of notes to prospective guests. Rooms adjoining the elevator tend to be noisy from the machinery. I had to change my room, and later came to know on my trek that another couple had to do the same. Second, when I was there, certain facilities (e.g., the gym) were closed due to the presence of some VIPs, and there was also increased foot and elevator traffic for the same reason. Other than these two points, I had a very pleasant stay at Kili Wonders in Moshi.…
We stayed at Kilimanjaro wonders hotel the day before starting our kilimanjaro climb. The hotel was an option provided by Monkey Adventures. This hotel is fantastic! They have a nice restaurant and bar, swimming pool area, and top notch laundry services. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent! I highly recommend a day here before you start your climb!
The staff makes this hotel truly remarkable. The views of the mountains were beautiful. The food and bar were excellent and the price was a true bargain. It’s no wonder Wildland Trekking utilization of this great space.
We went happy hour and dinner. Fun happy hour. We went to the rooftop and it was amazing views. Lots of places to sit and eat. Secure parking. We will definitely be back. We had the pizza and pasta. Wow! Great food. The bar on the rooftop well stocked and friendly staff.
We spent 1 night at the Kilimanjaro Wonders as we started a safari trip. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner both had a very nice variety and the option to have cooked to order eggs was nice in the morning. The unheated pool was nice after a hike. This hotel was part of our safari package, so I am not sure what the cost per night would be.
I stayed for 2 nights in the grand room. The booking and checking in was seamless. The room was clean and so was the bedding. The breakfast was very good. The staff are very helpful and check out was seamless
Stayed at this hotel before and after our climb of Kilimanjaro. The hotel was excellent. The rooms were very nice and I would absolutely stay here again. On the first night we had a great view of Kili from the rooftop bar. After our climb we came back to this hotel for a night. We had pizza and beer at the lobby level bar that was amazing after 7 days on the mountain. I'm in the process of booking another trip and will definitely be staying here again on my nights in Moshi!!!
