I selected this hotel based upon prior reviews and the price and location. I visited Mount Kilimanjaro. I thought the value to the quality of the hotel was good. My room and bed were spacious and clean. I ate the included breakfast each day and am quite satisfied with it. I ate on the rooftop terrace bar/restaurant and also the pool deck restaurant. Both are clean and the selection was good. I chatted with the hotel manager, Michael, a few times during my stay. He was genuinely interested in my opinion. I think that he is a nice man and I told him that I like his hotel I would certainly stay there again. I visited with some other guests who had stored their luggage there as they trekked on the mountain.

Hotel's Favorite
Stayed at Kiliwonders for 5 weeks while working locally and we were welcomed instantly on arrival. The hotel staff are very passionate about their jobs and going above and beyond to make guests happy. We ate in the hotel most nights as the food here is first class, as you can imagine we tried everything on the menu within the five week stay, don’t be afraid to ask for something that is not on the menu, the chef at the hotel can certainly create English favourites. He made me a traditional English pasty one night. He definitely can get creative with the dishes. The pizza’s here are by far the best around, people from other hotels come here for them and not to mention the spectacular views of Kilimanjaro on the roof top bar. We loved coming back to the hotel from a hard days work in the blazing sun to be greeted with an ice cold Serengeti Lite and smiles from the hotel staff. The two people who make everything work at this hotel are Michael and Patrick, these two gentlemen just keep giving. We struggled to obtain local SIM cards and to change money at the start of our trip, Micheal came to the rescue and obtained the sims and took our money to the bank to be changed, a true gent. Now down to Patrick, this man is an asset to the hotel, everyday from 6am until late evening he is around the hotel attending to guests. He is very approachable, brilliant sense of humour, could fix any problem or assist in arranging anything. If you want a day trip safari, he can arrange it, he is the man in the know! I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels throughout Africa and this hotel is one that felt like home. Hopefully I will be back to meet you all again. Keep up the good work!! Martyn

I stayed at the kiliwonders hotel as what was originally a group of 4 while working in Moshi arriving at the end of February. It was meant to be 4 week stay but ended up as 11 weeks. From the moment we arrived to final day the whole experience was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and the staff from top to bottom were so welcoming and accomodating. From taking us into Moshi to organise local sim cards which proved troublesome by ourselves , arranging a trip to the crater at ngorongoro, or making anthing food wise to order whether on the menu or not was no problem at all, we couldn't of had a better experience. The hotel is set in a great location with amazing views of kilimanjaro from the roof top terrace bar and surrounding area and only 15/20 minute walk either into Moshi or to shanty town where there are plenty of other bars and restaurants to explore. extra special thanks to Michael , Patrick and all the staff who went above and beyond, i hope to return again very soon and see all the familiar faces .

The staff was very friendly. Food was mediocre but since the location is pretty central you can find places around to eat that are better quality (you will need to take abt a $5usd taxi ride). We stayed there a totally of 3 times during our 2 week stay (before Kili, between Kili and safari and after safari and before departure). Each time, the wifi was very spotty. We didn’t have internet access in the rooms, in order to get access to wifi, we needed to sit in the lobby and still it was very slow.
