We stayed in the quaint old cottage which is simply furnished in cottage style. It has a kitchen and 2 bedrooms and a small lounge- We could order a dinner of home-made pie and salad so we didn't have to find dinner after a long drive to get there. Dinner and breakfast was served in the cottage and was washed... More

First stop on our way on honeymoon, really loved the silence and no reception. Best place to get some rest and get away from the rush. Food was lovely and tasteful and liked the fact that it is served inside the cottage. The cottage we stayed in can do with a few small touch ups, for example the choice of... More

Our second visit to this little paradise snuggled between the mountains which offers peace and tranquility. The special and individual service by Sue and her team leave you feeling both spoilt and relaxed . The lack of cell phone signal and Internet accessibility ensure a restful visit which can be enjoyed sitting in the gardens or on your patio or... More

We stayed three nights at Abbotsbury in the Garden Suite. We were welcomed by Sue and shown to our cottage. Sue explained the arrangements for serving dinner and breakfast in our cottage and then showed us some of her delightful garden. The cottage is beautifully decorated in a country style and well provided with magazines and books. All the meals... More

The accommodation was comfortable and the food was good, but there was no television, and as we had to have our dinner in our room we felt a bit at a loose end. The bath towels provided were very rough and scratchy. It does not take much to put them in a tumble dryer to fluff them up when they... More

Abbotsbury worked out a good two night stop over ( one of many) for our road trip from Durban Capetown on all the back roads. Its convenient for seeing the area and very pleasant with great food and the lovely Pricilla to bring us our meals. Thanks Sue for your lovely accommodation and beautiful garden.

Last here about 5 years ago. In Abbotsbury time has stood still in a good way - just as good as we remembered it, a cut-off oasis away from the main road. This time I came armed with high-powered binoculars and a Roberts guide; the bird life on the farm is very interesting, including a resident Martial Eagle family on... More

We left the N9 onto the farm road and enjoyed the slow drive into this lovely oasis! Approaching the farm we passed the sheep and farm workers herding the goats. We expected, from viewing the website, something special and were not disappointed! We were met by the owner, Sue Scott, who showed us to our 2 bedroomed cottage. Travelling with... More
