We stayed two nights, waking up at dawn to the beautiful Sabyinyo mountain at our cabin/room door and a fresh coffee delivered by Fidel, the butler. And a real log fire in our huge room in the evenings kept us nice and cosy. Real service with a smile: the staff were all really lovely and so helpful and told us...

We stayed two nights here, a great base for the gorilla trek which is a relatively short drive away. The area is a 2.5 hour drive from Kigali airport so be prepared for that, including some rough roads. The lodge is set on a hill which affords great views of the surrounding volcanoes which give the national park its name....

We had one cottage and one suite over Christmas 2016. It was amazing. The rooms are enormous and each come with a dedicated butler. The food was terrific including a beef wellington prepared for Christmas dinner. They have everything there for you to embark on your gorilla trek: gaiters, gloves, etc (although we brought our own and donated ours after...

The service was good and friendly. The villa was a bit cold during the night even there is a fireplace. So take your pyjamas with you. No disturbing devices around and the villas are not too close to eachother, so very peaceful atmosphere. Food was good too. High but easy climb before you reach the reception or the villas. If...

One of the most amazing lodges, great location, excellent service, ambiance, food and hospitality. The only negative point was our stay was too short. We will surely be back and will recommend it to family and friends.

Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge was our third port of call in Rwanda and was our initial starting point to the gorillas in the highlands of Rwanda (the Gorillas in the Mist experience). What can one say about this facility but excellent. After a short trip from Arusha (the city we flew into from Kigali to see the Gorillas) we were greeted my...
