We stayed here a night before and the night following our Gorilla Trekking Adventure. Upon arrival back to the lodge, we were met by nice young men who removed our muddy boots and gators and supplied us with croc's to wear back to our room....More

We stayed here for 3 nights. It is an eco friendly lodge, built close to the Volcanoes National park, where you can trek to see gorillas and golden monkeys. This is the most luxurious lodge in the region. There are other lodges closer to the...More

This is an excellent lodge, no doubt about it. But I dare to say that the lodge is getting a little bit complacent due to lack of competition and they need to step up, especially considering the price level. The location is fabulous, with unsurpassed...More

It's about 3 1/2 hours. We had a driver so I can't give you a cost. Volcanoes safaris might be able to help with transport.
Can you give me rates and contact details for the Virunga Lodge please?

I read your review which was helpful. W are planning a 3 day trip following the Serengeti in August, can you recommend the best way to make arrangements as there does not appear to be a website devoted to the Lodge but rather numerous Tour operators. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, David Montreal, Canada
