We trekked with the gorillas and yes - it's expensive. So is this hotel. But for the two nights we were there, it was absolutely fantastic - great food, wonderful staff, and absolutely gorgeous surroundings. Local dancers and musicians were fantastic. If you can afford it, it's a great once in a lifetime experience.

Let's face it, you're here for the gorillas, and not the lodge! This lodge is old and very basic, but the staff were fabulous, and food was very good! We were a group of 6, stayed here for 2 nights. It's in a perfection location for gorilla tracking - the staff even clean your shoes upon your return. To stay...

We enjoyed our stay at this 'cosy' mountain retreat after visiting the Gorillas nearby. The rooms are clean and comfortable as are the main hotel areas, with lovely open fires. And the buffet food is delicious. However the rooms (especially bathrooms) could use an update to bring the hotel up another notch, especially for international guests. But overall an enjoyable...

We stayed 2 nights. The lodge is in a ideal position to start gorilla trek. The staff was very good - friendly and helpful. They do a lot of little things that improve your stay such as lighting a fire in your room if you are there for any length of time, cleaning your boots when you come back, putting...

Overall service from reception , restaurant and Housekeeping were delightful Bed Room and bathroom was very big but looking very old The buffets was good. Fireplace at night was nice touch. However we found some newer places 1/3 the price , smaller and nice which we prefer if we had searched more throughly.

We booked the lodge expecting to stay in a cabin as advertised and as paid for. On arrival we were taken to a room attached to the side of an old shack out the back of the property. We had to quickly head off on a tour with our guide, and we gave him the feedback (all booked thru same...

Rooms and bathrooms are extremely huge and spacious and clean.. There even a living room area. But room are toilets are outdated. Staff are very friendly and service oriented, was asking you if you need anything. The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner has a pretty good variety. For breakfast and dinner they have a cooking station. Staff will come to...

Rooms are very large but with very little light. The bathroom and shower are very old fashioned and outdated. Bar and restaurant area make up for the average rooms. Spent two fun nights here and would still return even though it can do with a refurb. Make sure you get the fire lit prior to eating dinner so when you...
